BRAIDING MECHANISM AND METHODS OF USE
Methods of braiding using a braiding mechanism are described. The braiding mechanism includes a disc defining a plane and a circumferential edge, a mandrel extending from a center of the disc that is adapted to hold a plurality of filaments extending radially from the mandrel toward the circumferential edge of the disc, a plurality of catch mechanisms positioned circumferentially around the edge of the disc, a plurality of actuators adapted to move the plurality of catch mechanisms in a substantially radial direction relative to the circumferential edge of the disc, and a plurality of filaments extending radially from the mandrel towards circumferential edge of the disc. A middle portion of each filament of the plurality of filaments contacts an end of the mandrel.

BRAIDED ELECTRONIC DEVICE CABLE, BRAIDING MACHINE AND METHOD FOR BRAIDING AN ELECTRONIC DEVICE CABLE
This application relates to cable assemblies with an outer (exterior) layer formed from braiding materials together. To achieve a desired pattern, a machine tool forming the outer layer undergoes several modifications. For a machine tool with two tracks (e.g., inner and outer track) with multiple carriers of material to be braided, each carrier position may include multiple bobbins, with each bobbin carrying a spool/coil of the material. During a braiding operation performed by the machine tool, each track rotates in opposite directions. Moreover, some bobbins include an arm that guides the material in a particular manner. For example, during rotation of the track, the arm provides a swinging motion, causing the material carried by the arm to move in a periodic (e.g., sinusoidal) motion. An additional track may be used to guide the arms.
Engineered shoe or apparel
A method of producing a component for an article of footwear or apparel or a sporting goods accessory. The method of producing a component includes forming at least a first layer by braiding a first braided tube. Braiding may be performed with an empty braiding center. The method further includes arranging the first layer on a form.

Apparatus for producing a braided covering
A device for producing a braided sheath around an elongate object. The device has a warp thread frame which rotates in a warp thread rotation direction about a machine axis and has a group of warp thread bobbins, and the device has a group of bobbin carriers which rotate in the opposite direction about the machine axis and each have at least one weft thread bobbin. At least one warp thread is guided from each warp thread bobbin to a braiding point and at least one weft thread is guided from each weft thread bobbin to the braiding point. The course of the warp thread can be shifted alternately above and below the weft thread rotating past in the opposite direction via a laying means. The device has a bobbin carrier support which rotates with the warp thread frame in the warp thread rotation direction during operation.

ROTATIONAL BRAIDING MACHINE
A rotational braiding machine (100) has a plurality of first braiding material carriers (200a), a plurality of second braiding material carriers (200b), a movement unit, a drive and a controller. The movement unit is arranged and designed in order to move relocating elements (300) associated with the first braiding material carriers (200a) in each case between a first position and a second position. The drive is designed to drive the plurality of first braiding material carriers (200a) such that they rotate about the common braiding center in a first rotation direction and to drive the plurality of second braiding material carriers (200b) such that they rotate about the common braiding center in a second rotation direction which is different from the first rotation direction. The controller is additionally designed to control the movement unit such that the movement of at least one of the relocating elements (300) can be adjusted.
