A product having a metal strip and a central longitudinal axis. The strip has two or more strip parts, each having a common radius of curvature defining a helix having an angle being offset from one another in the direction of the axis. A cross section of the strip parts causes them to be interlocked together throughout their lengths to define a flexible metal tube. The outside diameter of the tube is between ⅜″ and 1⅜″ and the helix angle of each strip part is between eight and thirty degrees.

BRAIDED ELECTRONIC DEVICE CABLE, BRAIDING MACHINE AND METHOD FOR BRAIDING AN ELECTRONIC DEVICE CABLE
20220403569 · 2022-12-22 ·

This application relates to cable assemblies with an outer (exterior) layer formed from braiding materials together. To achieve a desired pattern, a machine tool forming the outer layer undergoes several modifications. For a machine tool with two tracks (e.g., inner and outer track) with multiple carriers of material to be braided, each carrier position may include multiple bobbins, with each bobbin carrying a spool/coil of the material. During a braiding operation performed by the machine tool, each track rotates in opposite directions. Moreover, some bobbins include an arm that guides the material in a particular manner. For example, during rotation of the track, the arm provides a swinging motion, causing the material carried by the arm to move in a periodic (e.g., sinusoidal) motion. An additional track may be used to guide the arms.

PULLING DEVICE ATTACHMENT

Aspects of the disclosure relate to a pulling device for pulling wire, cable, and/or duct products through an opening (e.g., bore, conduit, duct, etc.). The pulling device includes a gripping sleeve having a first end and a second end, the first end of the gripping sleeve configured to receive the product. The second end of the gripping sleeve is coupled with an eye, the eye configured to guide the pulling device through the opening. The pulling device further includes a cord configured to remove a protective material that can at least partially enclose the gripping sleeve and/or the product. The cord can be coupled to at least one of the gripping sleeve or the eye, and extend distally beyond the first end of the gripping sleeve.

ROPE MADE OF TEXTILE FIBRE MATERIAL

The invention relates to a rope (1) made of textile fibre material, which is characterized by the combination of features whereby

a) the load-bearing fibre material of the rope (1) consists of high-strength synthetic fibres

b) the rope (1) is in the form of a spiral strand rope

c) the rope (1) has at least two, preferably at least three concentric load-bearing strand layers (3,4,5)

d) the individual strands (7,8,9,10,11,12) of the strand layers (3,4,5) are movable with respect to one another

e) the degree of filling of the rope (1) with textile fibre material is ≧75%, preferably ≧85%

f) the outermost ply (5,6) of the rope has a coefficient of frictionμ with respect to steel of μ<0.15.

Method for high speed stranding of aramid yarns

A method for stranding aramid yarn around an endless core includes a stranding step that involves a stranding apparatus having at least one yarn bobbin. The bobbin revolves around its own axis and the bobbin revolves around the core, wherein the yarn unwinds from the bobbin and winds around the core. The yarn is a continuous aramid yarn provided with 0.05 to 0.95 wt %, based on the weight of the aramid, of a finish including an organophosphorus compound. The organophosphorus compound is a compound of the formula X1X2X3P═O. X1, X2, and X3 are independently selected from Y1-, Y1-O—, and M-O. Y1 is a branched or straight-chain C1-C20 alkyl, aryl or alkenyl. M is selected from Li, Na, K, or ammonium. At least one of X1, X2, or X3 is selected from Y1- or Y1-O—.

Rope made of textile fiber material

The invention relates to a rope made of a textile fibre material for applications in which a diagonal pull may occur, characterized in that the rope is a core/sheath rope the core (1) of which and the sheath of which are composed essentially of a textile fibre material the core (1) of which is stranded and which exhibits a force-fitting winding with a tensile element (2, 2′, 2″) between the core (1) and the sheath.

Long-service-life PWS Cable with Replaceable Sleeve and Shielding gas

The invention relates to the technological field of bridge structures, in particular to a long-service-life PWS cable with replaceable sleeve and shielding gas. It consists of wire strands, wrapping tape covering the wire strands, and a sheath arranged outside the wire strands, and is characterized in that the sheath is covered with an outer protective sleeve and shielding gas is filled between the wires in the wire strands. The wire strands of the present invention is completely under protection in a shielding gas environment which effectively avoids the corrosion of the wire strands; the protective sleeve outside the sheath of the PWS cable is a replaceable segmented and fragmented sleeve structure, which is convenient to be replaced and installed, substantially prolonging the service life of the PWS cable system with great promotional value achieved.

Longitudinal element, in particular for a traction or suspension means

A longitudinal element produced with a core made of high-strength fibers and at least one metal casing, preferably steel, surrounding this core. In this way, there is the significant advantage that these high-strength fibers, which are very lightweight in relation to their strength, are protected in a number of ways, namely against humidity, moisture, UV light and other environmental influences. In addition, the metal casing provides the fibers with protection against transverse loads. In this way, all the high-strength properties of the traction or suspension means are maintained over a sustained period.
