SPINNER FOR A PARTICULATE MATERIAL SPREADER
An apparatus for broadcasting particulate or granular material over a ground surface involves a variable speed spinner and a material conveyor. The spinner is positioned generally horizontally below a discharge end of a material conveyor. The spinner has a disk having a generally radially disposed fin fixed to an upper side of the disk and radiating outwardly from a center of the disk. The spinner is positioned to receive material from the material conveyor at a location about half way along a length of the fin. In a method broadcasting particulate or granular material over a ground surface, the spinner is preferably rotated at a speed of 900-1000 rpm. The apparatus and method provide for distribution of material over greater distances and can do so without pulverizing the material, creating a uniform pattern of distribution over a 50% wider swath.
Transverse distributor arrangement for a road finisher
A transverse distributor arrangement for a road finisher with a center console and counter-rotating augers, wherein the augers each extend from the center console to outer end regions with auger elements attached thereto and a base shaft. The base shaft is mounted in an outer bearing, the outer bearing being mountable at an attachment point via an outer bearing bracket. An extending shaft can be attached to the base shaft, or the base shaft can be replaced by a replacement base shaft of a different length than the base shaft. According to the disclosure, the base shaft and the outer bearing are detachably connected to each other, the same outer bearing in its state detached from the base shaft being detachably mountable on the extending shaft or on the replacement base shaft.
Continuous granular material laying by using temporary storage bins
Systems, devices, machines, and methods for granular material laying are provided. A granular material laying machine can include at least one small storage bin that moves with a distribution head to temporarily store granular material. The at least one small storage bin can be filled when the distribution head brings it in front of an exit hole of a main storage bin (separate from the at least one small storage bin). While the distribution head discharges the granular material at the desired locations, the small temporary storage bin(s) provide(s) the material.
AUGER SEGMENT AND SYSTEMS, ASSEMBLIES, AND METHODS THEREOF
An auger segment can comprise a base having a first end, a second end opposite the first end in a length direction of the base, a first side, and a second side opposite the first side; a first receptacle projecting from the first side of the base; a second receptacle projecting from the first side of the base; and a flight projecting from the first side of the base between the first receptacle and the second receptacle. A first recess of the first receptacle can be defined by a first sidewall thereof and a second recess of the second receptacle can be defined by a second sidewall thereof. A first through hole can extend through the base in the first recess of the first receptacle and a second through hole can extend through the base in the second recess of the second receptacle.
TRANSVERSE DISTRIBUTOR ARRANGEMENT FOR A ROAD FINISHER
The present disclosure refers to a transverse distributor arrangement for a road finisher with a center console and counter-rotating augers, wherein the augers each extend from the center console to outer end regions with auger elements attached thereto and a base shaft.
Material spreader controller
An apparatus and a method are provided for a material spreader controller to meter particulate material flowing out of a discharge outlet of a hopper. The material spreader controller is comprised of a housing that receives a control cable from the discharge outlet. A control lever operatively coupled with the control cable may be pulled by a practitioner to adjust the discharge outlet from a completely closed position to an adjusted open position. A control knob enables the practitioner to selectively limit operation of the control lever. Upon turning the control knob, the practitioner may select a degree to which pulling the control lever opens the discharge outlet, thereby limiting the adjusted open position of the discharge outlet. The control knob may be indexed to indicate the position of the control knob relative to a selection indicator on the housing.
