DEPLOYMENT OF ROAD BARRIERS FOR RESERVED CORRIDORS
Methods, systems, and computer-readable storage media for obtaining sensor data captured by one or more sensors that generate data representative of characteristics of a roadway, determining a state of the roadway by processing the sensor data, the state at least partially comprising a first configuration of the roadway, determining, at least partially based on the state, a period of time to deploy a plurality of road barriers on the roadway, and deploying the plurality of road barriers based on the period of time to provide a second configuration comprising at least one dedicated lane.
Mobile barrier
A safety trailer is shown including first and second platforms, at least one of said first and second platforms having an axle and wheels attached thereto; a plurality of interconnected wall sections positioned between and connected to the first and second platforms, the plurality of wall sections defining a protected work area on a side of the trailer; and wherein the trailer supports a ballast member, the ballast member being positioned near a first side of the trailer and the wall sections near a second, opposing side of the trailer, the ballast member offsetting, at least partially, a weight of the plurality of wall sections.
Portable acoustical road barrier
A portable acoustic road barrier for use with a road divider is disclosed comprising a frame having a lower horizontal panel frame portion, a first and a second vertical panel frame portion and an upper horizontal panel frame portion. A first and a second mount from the frame for removably securing the frame to the road divider. A sheet of acoustical blocking material is secured to the panel frame portions. The sheet of acoustical blocking material is flexible for enabling the sheet of acoustical blocking material and reinforcing tape to be rolled as a single unit for transportation.
BARRIER FOR ROADWAY
A barrier for a roadway (e.g., a highway, bridge, or other road), which can be used to manage vehicular traffic, such as to establish lanes, protect motorists and other people (e.g., pedestrians, constructions workers, etc) against crashes or other impacts, and/or other purposes, and which may be configured to enhance its use and performance, such as by better protecting the motorists and others when impacted by vehicles (e.g., reducing deflection by deflecting less or substantially not deflecting; mitigating risks of “catapulting” or “vaulting” of vehicles; and/or otherwise improving protection provided by the barrier), facilitating transportation, installation and/or transfer of the barrier at the roadway, and/or enhancing other aspects of the barrier.
Emergency Response Barrier
An emergency response barrier is shown and described, the barrier having a frame with reinforcing bracing; two axles coupled to the frame with wheels attached thereto; a king pin coupled to the frame; wherein the frame is covered with a substantially planar skin that extends along the right and left sides of the frame, from a top of the frame down to a lower edge and covers a majority of the wheels on each side of the barrier; an impact attenuator coupling on the frame, having a vertical pin received in a bore disposed on an impact attenuator, and configured for rotation about the vertical axis of the pin; and a hydraulic cylinder connected between the frame and the impact attenuator, wherein retraction and extension of the hydraulic cylinder moves the impact attenuator through an arc of rotation about the vertical pin.
System and method for managing migration of road barriers
A road barrier transfer machine includes an improved capstan control system that reduces unwanted migration of road barrier spans without requiring inaccurate visual observations and reliance on outdated scripts. The barrier transfer machine includes a moveable chassis, an entry snout, an exit snout, a conveyor system, a capstan system, and the capstan control system. The capstan control system automatically operates the capstan system or provides instructions to an operator of the machine to maintain the tension and compression of a road barrier span within desired ranges to reduce unwanted migration of the span.
System and method for aligning entry snout of a barrier transfer machine with road barriers
A barrier transfer machine includes a moveable chassis, an entry snout, an exit snout, a conveyor system, and a control system that aligns the entry snout with road barriers before the road barriers are picked up. The control system includes a barrier position sensor; an entry snout position sensor; and a processing system.
BYPASS MERGE LANES
A system to improve the management of through traffic and vehicles entering and exiting a multilane roadway. The lanes are separated by at least one lane separator which should not be crossed by traffic along a designated portion of the roadway, such as within a predetermined distance from a roadway entrance or exit. The at least one lane separator may be any lane marking, barrier, or the like. The at least one lane separator can be any length and located anywhere with respect to the lanes.
