STRAPPING APPARATUS
A strapping apparatus for coupling an article to a post, the apparatus including a post adapter including a first side configured to engage with the post and a second side comprising a recess; a retaining element at least partially located in the recess of the post adapter; and a strap configured to extend around the post, the strap including: a first end configured to be removably coupled to post adapter; and a second end configured to be received in the retaining element.
Transition barrier for connecting a permanent barrier to a temporary barrier
A transition barrier for transitioning from a permanent median barrier to a temporary median barrier, the transition barrier having: a) a first end; the first end being connectable to the permanent median barrier by a permanent median barrier connector; b) a second end; the second end being connectable to the temporary median barrier by a temporary median barrier connector; c) a transition section defining a transition wall of a predetermined length between the first end and the second end; the transition wall having a top, bottom, front and a back; d) at least one barrier brace proximate the transition wall, for supporting said transition wall; and e) at least one spacer, proximate the back of the transition wall for contact with a surface of the permanent concrete barrier.
BARRIER SYSTEMS WITH IMPACT RESISTANT RAILS THAT EXTEND ALONG THE FLOOR
Barrier systems with impact resistant rails that extend along the floor are disclosed. A barrier system includes a base to be anchored to a floor. The base includes sidewalls defining a channel along a length of the base. The barrier system further includes a tube extending along the channel. A bottom edge of the tube to be below top edges of the sidewalls.
SHOCK-ABSORBING BARRIER USING PILLARS AND RAIL
Disclosed is a shock-absorbing barrier. According to the present invention, the shock-absorbing barrier is configured wherein guardrails onto which shock-absorbing members like waste tires or waste rubber are mounted are attached to barrier walls and pillar bodies made by attaching pillar tubes to pillars are connectedly erected by means of the barrier walls on which the guardrails are mounted, so that if an external collision occurs, rotary rods are changed to a shape of a cone around the axis of the pillar tube rail to extend a shock-absorbing section, and the external collision is distributed by the compression and tension of both side rails to decrease the deviation displacement of the barrier wall boundary and to allow the pressure of the collision portion to be distributedly absorbed to the parts connected by the guardrails.
TRAFFIC BARRIER STRUCTURE
A traffic barrier structure includes posts fixedly installed at the median or roadside of the road, guiderail units composed of guiderails horizontally connected in series between the posts and each having a longitudinal slot, a rail holder installed in the guiderail and having a slot holder piece closely engaged against the slot in the guiderail and a deformation-resistant piece extending from the slot holder piece, closely conforming to a portion of an inner curved portion of the guiderail, to prevent deformation of the guiderails and enlargement of the slots when shock is applied the guiderails, and a rail connector inserted into respective connection part of adjacent guiderails to longitudinally connect the adjacent guiderails.
Flexible crash barrier with improved impact energy-absorbing capacity
A crash barrier is provided. The crash barrier includes a plurality of supports, a guard rail, and connection parts which are inclined so as to mutually connect the supports and the guard rail at certain intervals, such that an impact energy-absorbing capacity can be improved by preventing impact energy from being directly applied to the supports in a direction orthogonal to the guard rail.
Energy absorbing guardrail system
A highway crash attenuation system having W-beam rail elements attached to a plurality of vertical posts. An impact terminal with a feeder chute guides one or more of the W-beam rail elements through the impact terminal. The feeder chute has an impact shield extending along a traffic-facing side of the chute from an upstream-most end to a downstream-most end of the chute closing the traffic-facing side of the chute. The system also has an anchor cable release mechanism for releasing the cable downstream of the first vertical post and an improved first breakaway post.
Crash cushion
The crash cushion includes: a rail installed on the ground surface; a front support that is installed on a front end of the rail and is pushed backward along the rail when a shock is applied to the front support; a rear support installed on a rear end of the rail; and a shock absorber that is installed extending from the front support to the rear support and disposed at a predetermined height from the ground surface. The shock absorber includes a punch and a pipe, and it absorbs shock in such a way that the pipe is expanded in diameter by the punch. The crash cushion is installed on a road and can effectively absorb shock caused by a vehicle collision.
Post assembly
A post assembly for absorbing impact from a vehicle including a footing, an upright post and a hinge region to allow the post to plastically deform relative to the footing. The post is preferably fixed to a lever arm that is connected to the footing via the hinge region, the lever arm and post pivoting away from the footing under load, The lever arm, footing and hinge region are preferably formed from a common base plate. The invention also relates to barrier system that includes multiple post assemblies, and a barrier supported between respective posts of the assemblies.
Spacer piece for a guard rail system
The present invention provides a spacer piece for securing a guardrail beam to a support post in a guardrail system, the spacer piece including a breakable portion configured to break preferentially during an impact, and release the beam from the support post.
