The wind-powered rotatable module includes one or more first magnets spacedly arranged around a rotation shaft. The first piezoelectric energy generator module includes one or more first piezoelectric elements, and one or more second magnets disposed on the at least one first piezoelectric element. The second piezoelectric energy generator module includes at least one elastic base extending radially from a fixed shaft in a cantilever manner; and at least one second piezoelectric element on the at least one elastic base.
Post Assembly With Impact Absorbing Core Mechanism
A post assembly has a longitudinal axis extending from a proximal end to a distal end and includes a hollow outer shell, an anchoring sub-assembly disposed at the proximal end for securing the post assembly to a surface, a core assembly disposed within the hollow outer shell. The core assembly includes a core tube, a rigid rod having a lower end mechanically coupled to the anchoring sub-assembly and extending along the longitudinal axis to an upper end, and an elastic member disposed around the upper end of the rigid rod, the elastic member configured to transfer forces incident on the hollow outer shell through the elastic member to the anchoring sub-assembly via the rigid rod
Barrier System and Barrier System Installation Method
A barrier system may include an impact receiving post having a sidewall defining an inner cavity. The impact receiving post may be bendable and may have a proximal end, a distal end, and a post length as measured from the proximal end to the distal end. An insert may be positionable within the inner cavity. The insert may have an insert proximal end, an insert distal end, and an insert length as measured from the insert proximal end to the insert distal end, the insert length being less than the post length. A foundation cage may be coupled to the proximal end of the impact receiving post. The foundation cage may include a plurality of members that form a three-dimensional lattice structure. The foundation cage may be configured for installation beneath a ground surface.
Traffic control marker including a reinforcing member
A traffic control assembly, which includes a reinforced mounting base selectively mountable adjacent a roadway, a primary flexible tubular member, a reinforcing member, a retaining member, and a retaining pin. In accordance with at least one embodiment, the primary flexible tubular member is coupled to the reinforcing member, where the reinforcing member is configured to provide elastic support to the primary flexible tubular member against an impact by a moving vehicle. In accordance with at least one embodiment, the primary flexible tubular member is coupled to a structural insert on the opposite end from the base, the structural insert is further coupled to a secondary flexible tubular member to increase the resiliency of the traffic control assembly against an impact by a moving vehicle.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR ONCOMING TRAFFIC WARNING AT A WORK ZONE
A system and method are set forth for traffic warning at a road construction work zone, comprising at least one a motion sensor associated with at least one traffic cone proximate the road construction work zone for transmitting laser pulses in a direction of oncoming traffic and detecting reflected laser pulses from the oncoming traffic and in response transmitting an alert signal, and a portable alert unit for receiving the alert signal and generating a warning of the oncoming traffic
Traffic director and system and method for use thereof
A traffic director includes a distal end and a proximal end, two or more sides extending upward from the proximal end at an angle toward the distal end, a proximal notch disposed near the proximal end between two adjacent sides, and the proximal notch forms a first flexion point of the traffic director. The traffic director can further include one or more recessed channels formed in at least one of the two or more sides. The one or more recessed channels forms a second flexion point of the traffic director. The traffic director can further include a removable indicator sleeve having an advertisement or directional indicator printed thereon.
Accessible pedestrian signal station
A readily replaceable accessible pedestrian signal station is described including a bottom base plate and a sacrificial base plate.
Traffic warning indicator system
A traffic indicator warning unit for preventing collisions in blind corners has a weather-resistant chassis, a rechargeable battery within the chassis configured to power the unit, an indicator assembly mounted to the chassis comprising a first indicator light configured to indicate to a driver to stop and wait, and a second indicator light configured to indicate to a driver that the unit is non-operational, and further a motion-detector mounted to the chassis, configured to detect a moving vehicle near the unit, a metal detector mounted to the chassis, configured to detect the metal in a vehicle near the unit, and a transmitter/receiver within the chassis having an antenna, wherein the transmitter/receiver is configured to communicate with one or more other traffic warning units. A method of use of a traffic indicator warning system for a blind corner system is also disclosed.
Barrier system and barrier system installation method
Disclosed herein is a bollard system including an impact receiving post and a foundation cage. The impact receiving post includes an outer surface, a proximal end, and a distal end. The foundation cage defines a three-dimensional lattice structure. The foundation cage is coupled to the proximal end of the impact receiving post and is configured for installation in concrete beneath a ground surface. The foundation cage defines a recess to receive a proximal portion of the impact receiving post. The foundation cage includes a horizontal stop member at least partially extending across the recess and supporting the impact receiving post and preventing the impact receiving post from extending further into the foundation cage before the concrete sets.
VISUAL WARNING DEVICES
Visual warning devices that include illuminated rectilinear arachnid structures that break inattentional blindness of observers. The illuminated rectilinear arachnid structures can be mounted on height-adjustable support posts that extend upright from bases. Alternatively the illuminated rectilinear arachnid structures can be provided with magnets to mount the visual warning devices to metal structures. The illuminated rectilinear arachnid structures include pairs of arms that radiate outward from a central head. The arms and central head can be made from a translucent material through which light can be transmitted to illuminate these structures. Lights for illumination can be provided in the heads. The length of the arms can be adjustable, and the arms can be retracted and/or folded into a storage configuration.
