WORK VEHICLE AND CONTROL METHOD
A work vehicle includes a vehicular body and a work implement including a blade. The vehicular body includes a controller that controls an operation of the work implement and an acceleration sensor. The controller controls a blade propulsive angle θ of the blade based on an output from the acceleration sensor.
Circle drive system with clutch protection in motor graders
A circle drive system with clutch protection in motor graders is disclosed. The circle drive system includes a hydraulic motor that is configured to receive a pressurized fluid and generate a torque for a rotation of a circle and a moldboard. The circle drive system also includes a gearbox to transfer the torque generated by the hydraulic motor to the circle. Further, the circle drive system includes a clutch connected to the hydraulic motor at one end and to the gearbox at another end. In addition, the circle drive system also includes a hydraulic circuit having a pressure relief valve to relieve the pressurized fluid supplied to the hydraulic motor when a pressure of the pressurized fluid exceeds a predefined threshold. The pressure relief valve thereby, limits the torque generated by the hydraulic motor to less than or equal to a torque capacity of the clutch.
ROTARY FRAME AND GRADE
The present disclosure discloses a rotary frame and a grader, and relates to the field of a grader. The rotary frame includes: a rotary ring, provided with a recessed portion and an opening; a first connecting piece fixed at the periphery of the rotary ring, one end of the first connecting piece being attached to the periphery of the rotary ring and the other end of the first connecting piece being separated from the periphery of the rotary ring; a second connecting piece, the second connecting piece being also fixed at the periphery of the rotary ring, and one end of the second connecting piece being attached to the periphery of the rotary ring and the other end of the second connecting piece being separated from the periphery of the rotary ring; a supporting base fixed on an inner wall of the rotary ring and located in the recessed portion.
Motor grader cutting edge wear calibration and warning system
A system, method, and apparatus includes measuring wear of a cutting edge of a blade of a work vehicle. Blade position or calibration measurements are made with or without a cutting edge. A wear condition of the cutting edge is acceptable when the blade position measurement less an acceptable wear to the cutting edge amount is less than a blade calibration measurement. A wear condition of the cutting edge is unacceptable when the blade position measurement less an acceptable wear to the cutting edge amount is greater than a blade calibration measurement. Alternatively, a wear condition of the cutting edge is unacceptable when a blade calibration measurement plus a tolerance margin is greater than the blade position measurement. The wear condition of the cutting edge is acceptable when the blade calibration measurement plus a tolerance margin is less than the blade position measurement.
DAMAGE AVOIDANCE SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR MOTOR GRADER SCARIFIERS
The present disclosure is directed to systems and methods for operating a grading machine. The method includes (i) receiving information indicating a current position of a moldboard of the grading machine; (ii) determining if the moldboard is moving toward an avoidance zone, and the avoidance zone is defined by a distance from a scarifier of the grading machine; and (iii) in response to a determination that the moldboard is moving toward the avoidance zone, adjusting at least one operating parameter of the moldboard or the scarifier of the grading machine.
ANTI-BOUNCE CONTROL SYSTEMS FOR MACHINES, AND ASSOCIATED METHODS
Systems to control movement of a motor grader include a sensor for providing a bounce signal indicative of a bouncing movement of the motor grader, and a controller programmed with instructions that, when executed: receive the bounce signal from the sensor; analyze the bounce signal from the sensor; determine whether the maximum amplitude of the bouncing movement exceeds a threshold; in response to determining whether the maximum amplitude exceeds the threshold, generate an articulation angle command signal to change an articulation angle of the motor grader; and transmit the articulation angle command signal to change the articulation angle.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR AUTOMATIC MOLDBOARD POSITIONING
A computer-implemented method for automatically adjusting a moldboard of a motor grader can include receiving one or more identifiers corresponding to a configuration of the motor grader, and determining, based on the received identifier(s), a first orientation of the moldboard. If the first orientation is not within an operating threshold, the method can further include selecting, based on the one or more identifiers, at least one of a plurality of actuators of the motor grader; and actuating the selected actuator(s) to move the moldboard from the first orientation to a second orientation within the operating threshold.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR AUTOMATICALLY ADJUSTING A MOTOR GRADER
Systems and methods for automatically adjusting a motor grader can include receiving one or more identifiers corresponding to a configuration of the motor grader; determining, based at least in part on the one or more identifiers, a position of a leading edge of a blade of the motor grader relative to a rear frame axis of the motor grader; and, if the determined position is not within an operating threshold, causing a frame actuator of the motor grader to change an articulation angle of the frame to move the leading edge to within the acceptable threshold.
Drawbar-circle-moldboard assembly for a work machine
A drawbar-circle-moldboard assembly for a work machine includes a drawbar, a circle assembly, and a moldboard. The drawbar is configured to be pivotably connected to a frame of the work machine. The circle assembly is rotatably connected to the drawbar and includes a circle member formed from a hollow box section. The moldboard is connected to the circle assembly.
MOTOR GRADER APPLICATION SEGMENTATION FOR LEVER CONTROL
A lever-operated motor grader can include a front end including a pair of steerable tires connected to the front end; a rear end pivotally connected to the front end at an articulation joint, the rear end including a power source operatively coupled to at least two driven tires; a drawbar-circle-moldboard assembly having a blade, the drawbar-circle-moldboard assembly configured for moving the blade into various orientations, the blade movement controlled by a hydraulic system coupled to one or more operator-controlled levers of the motor grader; a controller; and a pressure sensor coupled to the hydraulic system of the blade to deliver to the controller a signal corresponding to a pressure of the hydraulic system; wherein the controller receives the signal corresponding to the pressure of the hydraulic system, and wherein the controller is configured to determine an application of the motor grader based on the received signal.
