UNDERGROUND PIPE REPAIR AND PROTECTION SYSTEM
20230046762 · 2023-02-16 ·

A method and apparatus provides an enclosed pipe repair where two pipe segments extend through first and second ends of the enclosure to a volume in the enclosure housing the repair. The enclosure surrounds the repair to hopefully prevent roots from accessing the repair in many cases, and if a second problem exists, to provide access to the site of the repair through a lid in the enclosure.

Pipe repair

The present disclosure relates to a method for repairing a partially collapsed pipe. The method comprises fitting a mesh stent around the outside of an actuation assembly of a pipe repair apparatus, and positioning the pipe repair apparatus within a portion of the pipe, at least a part of the portion of the pipe being partially collapsed. The method also comprises causing actuation between a retracted configuration and an extended configuration such that the partially collapsed part of the pipe changes from a partially collapsed form towards a non-collapsed form. The method also comprises removing the pipe repair apparatus from the pipe and leaving the mesh stent in the portion of the pipe.

Trenchless methods for forming curved hole channel with steel sleeve and pipeline lifting

Trenchless methods for forming a curved hole channel with a steel sleeve and pipeline lifting are provided, including steps of: (T1) drilling a straight hole channel, and inserting the steel sleeve into the straight hole channel; (T2) inserting a guiding pipe into the steel sleeve, and determining a bending direction of a hole channel to be formed; and (T3) inserting a flexible steel-wire pipe into the guiding pipe, and punching to form the curved hole channel. With applying the creative trenchless method for forming the curved hole channel, a specially-made grouting pipe is accurately inserted to a bottom of a subsiding pipeline section, so that a polymer material is conveniently injected to a bottom of a disease position. Though utilizing an expansion force generated by the polymer material, the subsiding pipeline section is uplifted, so as to realize trenchless repairing.

An inflatable sleeve including one or more tubular portions including zones having different dimensions (e.g. thickness and/or diameter) and/or physical properties (e.g. elastic modulus) to enable control over the inflation characteristics of each zone, and a method of manufacturing same. The present invention further relates to a pipe junction sealing packer incorporating such an inflatable sleeve.

Pig for use in a system for lining ducts water or sewage pipes
11613083 · 2023-03-28 · ·

The present invention relates to a pig for use in a system for lining ducts such as water or sewage pipes or electrical ducts or gas pipes. The pig is insertable at least partly within a fabric liner sleeve located in a duct such as a water or sewage pipe and is capable of heating the liner sleeve in situ in the duct to melt or soften thermoplastic material of the liner sleeve to subsequently form, on cooling of the melted thermoplastic material, a rigid liner in the duct. A pig for fitting a liner to the inside of a pipe, comprising a pig body defining a longitudinal axis in a longitudinal direction from a front portion to a rear portion; a gas supply port in the front portion; a gas outlet diffuser forming part of the rear portion; a heating chamber in the pig body forming a flow path from the fluid inlet to the outlet diffuser; and a heater within the heating chamber, wherein the outlet diffuser comprises a plurality of channels, each channel comprising an inlet facing the front portion in the longitudinal direction and an outlet extending radially outwardly from the longitudinal axis.

Pipe-forming apparatus for spiral pipe and pipe-forming method thereof

A spiral pipe-forming apparatus includes a non-circular guide portion which is rotatable with respect to an apparatus frame around a rotary axis. The non-circular guide portion is configured to be applied to a peripheral surface of a preceding spiral pipe portion. An acting portion is configured to act such that the non-circular guide portion follows a peripheral surface of an existing pipe.

Trenchless integrative repair method for concrete drainage pipeline with cracking, corrosion and subsidence

A trenchless integrative repair method includes steps of: S1, pre-casting steel rings according to an internal diameter of a defect pipeline, and forming grouting holes in the steel rings; S2, loading the steel rings to a defect position inside the pipeline, and fitting the steel rings to an internal wall of the pipeline to form reinforcing rings; S3, selecting a number of the grouting holes according to subsidence distribution; drilling a hole in the pipeline to reach a subsidence position and inserting a grouting pipe; steadily grouting the subsidence position with a polymer grouting system, and observing a lift condition of the pipeline; removing the grouting pipe after the pipeline is lifted to a predetermined level; and S4, pulling a lining pipe into the pipeline, and fitting the lining pipe to the steel rings and pipeline walls adjacent to the steel rings; curing the lining pipe.

Method of installing liner assembly for pipeline repair or reinforcement, and liner assembly and steam generator for same

A method of installing a liner assembly for pipeline repair or reinforcement includes: pulling a prepared liner assembly into position in the pipeline, the liner assembly including a tubular liner wetted with a curable compound; introducing fluid into the inflatable bladder to bring the tubular liner into firm contact with an interior surface of the pipeline; flowing the fluid continuously through the bladder and discharging the fluid into the pipeline, while maintaining the liner assembly in an inflated condition; measuring a flow rate and a temperature of the fluid entering the bladder; calculating a time period sufficient for the tubular liner to cure based on: an amount of heat required for curing, based on dimensional information of the liner, and the measured flow rate and temperature of the fluid; and maintaining the liner assembly in an inflated condition for the time period sufficient for the tubular liner to cure.

System and method for sealing an annular space of a sewer connection line
