Example embodiments provide systems and methods for coupling prefabricated panels to a structure. One example system provides a system for coupling a prefabricated panel to a structure. The system may comprise a first member. The first member may be couplable to a framing structure of the prefabricated panel. The system may also comprise a second member. The second member may pivot relative to the first member. The system may also comprise a fastener. The fastener may be configured to bias the first and second members together such that a component of the structure is at least partially receivable between the first and second members and tightening the fastener reduces a distance between the first and second members.

Mass Timber Hanger

A composite foam and concrete wall includes a foam layer having a top surface, a bottom surface, a left wall surface and a right wall surface wherein the foam layer comprises at least two foam panels that define a seam that is substantially parallel to the top surface and the bottom surface. A concrete layer is secured to a surface of the foam layer.

Hybrid Shear-Wall System for the Construction of Solid-Wood Buildings in Seismic Zones

A hybrid shear wall system for construction of massive timber buildings of more than two stories in seismic zones, is provided, which presents a ductile behavior and reduced overturning effect against a lateral load caused by destructive natural events, such as earthquakes or strong winds; the shear wall system comprises an interior frame with articulated nodes of union between columns and sills, to which exterior massive timber panels are joined on both opposite faces, by means of individual energy dissipating connectors; where the frame comprises post-tensioned self-centering means, which together with the articulated nodes, the exterior massive timber panels and the connectors, act together as a unit and allow the shear wall to behave in a ductile manner and with reduced overturning effect under high lateral load.
