20230014699 · 2023-01-19 · ·

A structural insulated panel, SIP, (101) for a building (100) in which the SIP is attachable to another such SIP (101) to provide a structure of the building (100). The SIP (101) comprises a frame (200), a first board (208) attached to a first face of the frame (200), a second board (209) attached to a second face of the frame (200) and an insulating layer (401) bounded by the frame (200) and the first (208) and second boards (209). The frame (200) is fibre-reinforced plastic, FRP. The frame (200) has a joining surface that faces away from the centroid of the SIP (101) so as to be mateable with a joining surface of a frame of another such SIP (101).

A system for a waterproof deck may include connecting members, gaskets, and deck boards. The deck boards may be secured to a decking frame via the connecting members. The gaskets may be attached to the connecting members between the boards to create a waterproof seal. The system may also include draining devices to guide water to a desired location. A method for assembling the waterproof decking system.

CROSS-LAMINATED TIMBER (CLT) PANEL CONNECTION

A Cross-Laminated Timber (CLT) connection is provided that can be used to connect at least two CLT components such as CLT panels. The CLT joint includes a first CLT component, a second CLT component, and a spline. The first CLT component includes a first recessed channel. The second CLT component includes a second recessed channel. A first end of the spline is configured to nest within the first recessed channel. A second end of the spline is configured to nest within the second recessed channel. The CLT panel includes a first CLT side and a second CLT side. The first CLT side includes a recessed channel. The second CLT side may be opposite the first CLT side and includes a grooved extension. The grooved extension and the recessed channel have complimentary patterns. A CLT panel system is also provided comprising a plurality of CLT panels.

Modular construction system and method of use thereof

A modular construction system, including, first and second walls, each having first and second broad surfaces. Each wall includes throughgoing connector-receiving bores. The modular construction system further includes a connector including a longitudinal body portion arranged along a longitudinal axis and having a first width. A head portion of the longitudinal body portion includes a base surface having a second width in a direction transverse to the longitudinal axis. A pair of protrusions extend outwardly from the longitudinal body portion and are disposed between the base surface and a tail end of the longitudinal body portion. The protrusions include an engagement surface facing toward the base surface and having a third width, the third width being greater than the first width.

FLOOR TO WALL CONNECTOR

A floor to wall connector is provided. The floor to wall connector comprises a wall bracket and a floor bracket. The wall bracket includes a floor receiver. The wall bracket is configured to connect to a wall panel. The floor bracket includes an opening. The floor bracket is configured to connect to a floor panel. The floor receiver of the wall bracket is configured to insert into the opening of the floor bracket thereby connecting the wall panel to the floor panel. A floor and wall system including the floor to wall connector and a method of connecting a wall panel to a floor panel via the floor to wall connector is also provided.

Modular and reusable temporary construction wall

A modular, reusable temporary enclosure system is particularly suited for the renovation of buildings having stacked concrete floors supported by steel and/or concrete columns. The system consists of a set of track components, one fastened to the floor, and one fastened to the ceiling. Columns assembled from rigid panels are supported and aligned between these components. The panel edges are connected to one another by an interfacing spline assembly. To ensure that the components can be brought up to the construction site by elevator, individual panels are shorter than the full distance between the floors.

This application relates to methods of manufacturing a modular thermal envelope. The modular thermal envelope includes an internal structural frame. The modular thermal envelope further includes a non-structural insulated laminated wall panel. The modular thermal envelope further includes a bent clip. An example of a bent clip is a steel clip including a first portion welded to the structural interior frame element, a bent portion that defines a gap between the structural interior frame element, and a second portion of the bent clip. The modular thermal envelope has the non-structural insulated laminated wall panel positioned between the structural interior frame element and the second portion of the bent clip. The modular thermal envelope further is substantially weatherproof and airtight.

A wood-concrete composite slab having a planar wood element, by means of which spans with little dependence upon the relative inherent weight of the slab are achieved. The slab layer construction includes a wood layer, an insulating layer, and a concrete layer. In one embodiment, the layer construction is interrupted by at least one bearing means, in that this bearing means traverses at least the concrete layer and the insulating layer and extends downward at least as far as the wood layer. In a different embodiment, for a high level of soundproofing, the slab comprises in its insulating layer two different-density insulating materials, wherein the denser insulating material rests directly on the wood layer, acting as a vibration damping means. In a further embodiment, the wooden panels of the wood-concrete composite slab that form the planar wood element are tensioned against one another in order to convey tensile forces therethrough.
