MATERIAL AND METHOD FOR PROVIDING INSULATION TO A FOUNDATION WALL
A material and method for insulating a top portion of a foundation wall which includes a non-woven thermoplastic board for insulating a foundation wall. The non-woven thermoplastic board has a thermal resistance of an R-value per inch thickness of at least 1.
MINERAL WOOL INSULATION
A method of manufacturing a mineral fibre thermal insulation product comprises the sequential steps of: Forming mineral fibres from a molten mineral mixture; Spraying a substantially formaldehyde free binder solution on to the mineral fibres, the binder solution comprising: a reducing sugar, an acid precursor derivable from an inorganic salt and a source of nitrogen; Collecting the mineral fibres to which the binder solution has been applied to form a batt of mineral fibres; and Curing the batt comprising the mineral fibres and the binder which is in contact with the mineral fibres by passing the batt through a curing oven so as to provide a batt of mineral fibres held together by a substantially water insoluble cured binder.
Loose-fill insulated building structures and methods for making them
The present disclosure relates to insulated building structures. In one aspect of the disclosure, an insulated building structure includes a longitudinally-extending cavity bound by a first lateral surface, a second lateral surface, a back surface and a front surface, the cavity having a cross-sectional area in a plane normal to a longitudinal axis of the cavity; one or more shelves extending into the cavity, each having an occluded area in the plane that is less than the cross-sectional area of the cavity; and loose-fill insulation disposed in the cavity, loose-fill insulation being positioned above and below each of the shelves.

BUILDING EXTERIOR INSULATION STRUCTURE
An exterior insulation structure includes a first board member, first supporting members, a first thermal insulator, second supporting members disposed on the exterior side of the first supporting members, a second thermal insulator disposed on the exterior side of the first thermal insulator and between the second supporting members, securing members fixed to the exterior side of the second supporting members, and exterior wall members attached to the securing members. The adjacent exterior wall members are joined together without leaving a gap therebetween. Each securing member is long enough, in the second direction, to be fixable to at least two second supporting members and shorter, in the second direction, than each exterior wall member. A first gap is left between the securing members adjacent in the second direction. At least part of each second supporting member is made of a material having a thermal conductivity lower than that of steel.
Method to reduce air infiltration through an insulated frame structure
Air flow is reduced through a structure insulated with one more layers of fiber wool or particulate insulating material. A layer of a foamed fluid polymeric composition is applied onto the exposed surface of the insulation to cover the edges at which the exposed surface of the insulation meets an enclosing member of the structure. The layer is then cured to form a polymeric coating on the exposed surface of the insulation. The coating seals the edge or edges at which the exposed surface of the insulation meets the enclosing members of the structure.
General purpose insulation bag
A general purpose insulation bag is provided. The general purpose insulation bag includes a jacket configured to form a desired three dimensional shape. The jacket forms a cavity therewithin and has an opening. Insulative material is positioned within the cavity and is configured to form an insulative layer. The insulative layer has a thickness configured to provide a desired insulative value to the general purpose insulation bag. The opening is configured to retain the insulative material within the cavity formed within the jacket.

Insulation System and Method for Buildings
An apparatus, method and system of insulating a building such as a poultry barn uses netting structurally of the type to hold sod together. The netting is stapled to the bottom of trusses making up the ceiling of a barn and the attic of the barn. Ceiling material is superimposed below the netting to form a ceiling. Loose insulation, typically fiberglass, is blown onto the netting to be held thereby and to form an insulation layer in the attic of the barn.
Interior insulation system with moisture control
An interior insulation system with moisture control for an exterior building wall has a first insulation element adapted for abutting the interior surface of the external wall; a second insulation element abutting said first insulation element; a vapour barrier covering the interior surface of the second insulation element; and a support structure below the first and second insulation elements and supporting said first and second insulation elements The support structure has a gutter profile having a cavity with an upper opening and at least one ventilation opening, and a third insulation element is provided in at least a portion of said cavity.
