Fireproof coated structure for penetration part
A fireproof covered structure for covering a penetration part formed in a fireproof beam of a wooden building to make the penetration part fireproof, wherein a tubular fireproof covering material is attached to the penetration part while covering an inner peripheral surface of the penetration part. The tubular fireproof covering material is formed by stacking a plurality of gypsum board pieces cut out from commercially available gypsum boards of thicknesses of 9.5 mm to 25.5 mm, in the thickness direction and unitarily connecting the gypsum board pieces. The tubular fireproof covering material is inserted into and attached to the penetration part such that a connecting portion That connects gypsum board pieces That are adjacent in the stacking direction is disposed at a boundary portion between a structural member and a covering member of the fireproof beam, or at a portion close to the boundary portion.
Fasteners and wall assemblies
A wall assembly (10) comprising top and bottom caps (11) and (12) which are generally U shaped channels and these are secured to a floor (13) and a concrete slab ceiling (14) which comprises in this case the underside of a concrete floor of the next level in a multi-storey building. In these arrangements the ceiling (14) has to be arranged in relation to the wall (15) for deflection of the ceiling (14), consequentially, the track (11) is spaced from the underside surface (16) by a distance of typically 20 mm and a suitable compressible spacer arrangement (17) is located between the upper surface (18) of the track (11) and the underside surface (16). The spacer arrangement (17) may be any suitable infill and one example may be a fire rated double sided adhesive layered expandable/compressible tape or foam. This tape may be applied to the upper outer surface of the channel and its other side adhesively applied to the underside of the concrete.
WALL JOINT OR SOUND BLOCK COMPONENT AND WALL ASSEMBLIES
An elongate component for placement in a wall gap and a wall incorporating such a component. The component includes a wall-face leg configured to extend along a face of a wallboard and a wall-end leg configured to extend along an end of the wallboard. The wall-end leg is oriented perpendicular to the wall-face leg. The component further includes a flexible gap portion configured to be positioned within and extend along the wall gap. The gap portion is located on an opposite side of the wall-end leg relative to the wall-face leg. A blocking element is located in a space defined by the wall-end leg and the gap portion. The blocking element is configured to block fire and/or sound within the wall gap. At least a portion of the flexible gap portion is located on an exterior side of the blocking element.
AN OUTER FRAME ELEMENT, A SET OF PARTS, A WALL CONSTRUCTION AND A METHOD FOR MOUNTING THE WALL CONSTRUCTION
A fire-shielding U-shaped outer frame element adapted for supporting a side of at least one wall element in a wall construction, said outer frame element being elongate and comprising a bottom part and a first side flange and a second side flange extending at an angle to the bottom part, interior surfaces of the side flanges being adapted for extending along exterior surfaces of the wall element. The outer frame element (1) comprises a plurality of perforations (15) and a first elongate strip (16) of a material having thermal shielding properties and being arranged on a surface of the first and/or second side flange (13, 14) of the outer frame element (1) so as to shield the wall element from heat from a fire. A set of parts include an outer frame element and a fastenings means for use between wall elements when making a wall construction.
Pole Shield
The present disclosure relates to a pole shield for extending around a pole structure. The pole shield comprises one or more than one sheet of composite material forming a hollow structure having an open first end and an opposed open second end. The sheet or sheets of composite material comprise from about 50% to about 80% by weight of a reinforcement impregnated with about 20% to about 50% of a polyurethane resin composition comprising a combination of a polyol component and a polyisocyanate component. Two or more pole shields may be stacked one on top of the other to form a pole shield structure which extends the height of protection of the pole structure. The pole shield can be used for protecting a pole structure from damage, such as from fire, rain, wind, sand, ice, pests, moisture or electrical. The pole shield may also be used to provide structural support to a pole structure.
WALL GAP FIRE BLOCK DEVICE, SYSTEM AND METHOD
Fire block devices for application to a wall component, a wall component with a fire block device and wall assemblies including the same. The fire-block device can be a wall component that includes a fire-resistant material strip that expands in response to sufficient heat to create a fire-resistant barrier. In some applications, the fire-block wall component is positioned to extend lengthwise along and across a gap between wallboard members. The fire-block wall component may have a central portion and a pair of side portions extending in opposite directions from the central portion. The fire-resistant material may be positioned on the central portion of the fire-block device. The central portion may be positioned within the gap such that the fire-resistant material expands in response to sufficient heat to create a fire-resistant barrier.
