Use of an Oversized Threaded Rod in a Locking Oblong Hole
20230228285 · 2023-07-20 ·

A method for securing a first part to a second part where the first part has a locking oblong hole. The method includes passing a locking threaded rod through the locking oblong hole and into the second part. The locking threaded rod is oversized with respect to a width of the locking oblong hole such that the locking threaded rod widens the locking oblong hole as the locking threaded rod is passing through the locking oblong hole.

Slide clip

A slide clip includes a first plate and a second plate coupled at a juncture. The first plate and the second plate form an angle at the juncture. The second plate has a first elongated slot, a second elongated slot, and a third elongated slot, each extending parallel with the juncture. The first elongated slot and the second elongated slot are each offset from the juncture a first distance. The third elongated slot is offset from the juncture a second distance that is greater than the first distance.

A structural steel member connecting assembly includes a first connecting member and a second connecting member. The first connecting member is pivotally connected to a positioning portion of a first structural steel member and therefore can be swung. The second connecting member is pivotally connected to the first connecting member such that the two connecting members are rotatable with respect to each other. The second connecting member has a fixing portion coupled with a second structural steel member such that the longitudinal directions of the two structural steel members intersect. With the second connecting member rotatable with respect to the first connecting member, the installation angles of the two structural steel members can be easily changed in order to make a stable engineering structure. The structural steel member connecting assembly features convenience of, and flexibility in, use and has extensive applications.

STRUCTURAL ASSEMBLY USING DIFFERENTIAL SETTLEMENT ANCHOR
20220349173 · 2022-11-03 ·

A structural assembly using at least one anchor assembly for attaching a first structure to a second structure is described. The anchor assembly has a body having a first face and a second face. The first face is transverse to the second face and has an elongate slot. The second face has a through hole. The body is fabricated from a material that fails at a temperature in excess of 1,000° F. A fastening member is positioned in the elongate slot for connecting the first face to the first structure and for sliding engagement with the elongate slot in response to relative movement of the first structure and the second structure.

Deck framing system

A deck framing system includes a perimeter support member that has a joist support wall and a web wall extending perpendicularly from the joist support wall and an overhang wall extending perpendicularly from the web wall. First and second joist support brackets include a joist support portion and a pair of attachment wings, where each one of the pair of attachment wings contacting the web wall of the perimeter support member. First and second joists each include a deck support wall and a lower wall. The deck support walls of the first and second joists are disposed between the overhang wall and the joist support portions, and the lower walls are disposed between the joist support portions and the joist support wall.

SYSTEM AND APPARATUS FOR SECURING A FLOORPLATE TO A STRUCTURE

A multi-story building that includes a vertical support core and a plurality of floor plates is described, wherein fabrication of the building includes, in one embodiment, assembling each of the floor plates at or near ground level, and lifting each of the floor plates to a design level on the vertical support core. A system and device for securing one of the floor plates to the building includes employing a vertically-oriented lock-in bracket.

Modular housing system

The invention is directed broadly to a modular housing system having a structural framework comprising an internal chassis as a core structural element, the internal chassis including: a first ladder frame that defines a base; four columns at least two being extendable columns; and a second ladder frame engaged to the first ladder frame via the four columns, such that at least one of a distance and an angle between the first ladder frame and the second ladder frame is adjustable to define a usable volume of the structural framework.

Bracket

The invention relates to a bracket to restrain a partition wall in the interior of a building. The bracket comprises a body having a generally hollow sheath and a shaft that is slidable within the sheath to adjust the bracket. The bracket is particularly suitable for supporting internal partition walls of buildings that are located in areas prone to earthquakes and high winds because the bracket allows for the wall to be laterally supported while also accommodating vertical movement experienced during building deflection and inter-storey drift without transferring compression and expansion loads onto the partition wall.
