BUILDING CORE AND KIT FOR ASSEMBLY
A column assembly has an elongated tubular member. A wall end assembly has an elongated tubular member. A flexible interface connects the column assembly to the wall end assembly. The flexible interface includes a spring pack assembly having a disc spring, an elongated male fastening member, a female fastening member, and an absorbing layer. The male fastening member extends through the spring pack hole into the female fastening member to connect the column assembly to the wall end assembly with the female fastening member and to hold the male fastening member in place.
Modular Building Units, and Methods of Constructing and Transporting Same
A lower connector includes a lower connector hollow body, a pair of lower connector bosses coupled to the lower connector hollow body, and a pair of lower connector arms coupled to the lower connector bosses. A connector assembly includes an upper connector coupled to a lower connector and a gusset plate sandwiched between the upper and lower connectors.
PREFABRICATED POST ASSEMBLY
A prefabricated post assembly is proposed. The prefabricated post assembly includes a vertical post having at least one assembly surface and a horizontal post having an assembly module mounted at an end thereof to be coupled to the assembly surface, in which at least one upper insertion hole is formed at an upper portion of the assembly surface and at least one lower insertion hole is formed at a lower portion of the assembly surface.
JOINT STRUCTURE OF STEEL BEAM
In a joint structure of steel beam structure, a bracket is coupled and fixed to the lateral side of a large beam or a pillar and a steel beam is coupled to the bracket such that the steel beam is coupled to the lateral side of the large beam or the pillar. One end of the bracket is coupled to the lateral side of the large beam or the pillar, and the other end is inclined such that the lower part thereof forms an acute angle, wherein a first attachment plate is coupled to the inclined end part of the bracket such that a fixed length thereof protrudes from the upper end of the bracket. The lower part of one end of the steel beam is inclined at an obtuse angle so as to correspond to the other inclined end of the bracket.
ANTI-BALLISTIC SHELTER
The present anti-ballistic shelter is a reinforced unit configured to comply with both ISO standards for size and weight, and with the U.S. Department of State Certification Standard for Forced Entry and Ballistic Resistance of Structural Systems. Each end and side wall of the unit is reinforced with wall studs that penetrate the unit's structural framework. Even though these wail studs are welded into place, penetration of the wall studs into the framework ensures acceptable blast, ballistic, and forced entry resistance even if the welds are flawed.
OUTDOOR BUILDING HAVING JOIST ASSEMBLY
An internal splice joint that facilitates coupling of a pair of joist members together is provided. The internal splice joint includes a main wall, first and second side flanges, and first and second end flanges. The first side flange extends upwardly from the main wall. The second side flange extends upwardly from the main wall and is spaced from the second side flange. The first end flange extends from the first side flange. The second end flange extends from the second side flange. The first end flange and the second end flange extend inwardly towards each other and are spaced from each another. A joist assembly that includes the internal splice joint is also provided.
Method for making a virgin joint between two separate structural hollow sections, and such a virgin joint
A method of making a virgin joint between at least two separate structural hollow sections in a truss or jacket structure made of the at least two structural hollow sections may include the steps of applying a fiber reinforced polymer wrap around the at least two structural hollow sections in a transitional area, covering and thus bonding together the at least two structural hollow sections, and forming the virgin joint between the at least two structural hollow sections and the fiber reinforced polymer wrap. Welding of the virgin joint between the at least two structural hollow sections is avoided.
Balcony installation
A balcony includes a balcony assembly and a structural post and outrigger system. The structural posts provide structural support for buildings and include the outriggers that extend substantially perpendicularly from the structural posts to a location where the balcony assembly will be installed. The outriggers include a tube or beam and an end plate on an end of the beam distal from the structural post. The balcony assembly includes at least one long beam, a platform, and a locking mechanism on an end of the long beam. The locking mechanism includes a channel for receiving and securing the end plate of the outrigger. The balcony assembly is secured to the outrigger using fasteners.
AGRICULTURAL PROTECTION STRUCTURE
A modular agricultural protection structure may be constructed from vertical poles anchored in the ground, and beams and cross-beams welded to the top of the poles to form a top surface of the module. Load support structures may be welded to the beams, cross-beams, and poles, at regular intervals. Cables may be attached to the load bearing structures and used to support netting. A cable and pulley system may be included to retract the netting from over the top surface during climate weather in order for the plants to receive more sunlight. High quality/high strength materials and welding techniques may be used to provide protection even against several feet of snow accumulation without significant sagging of the netting. Clips may be attached between the cables and the netting at different locations on the top surface of the structure to further decrease sagging of the netting.
