BUILDING CORE AND KIT FOR ASSEMBLY
A column assembly has an elongated tubular member. A wall end assembly has an elongated tubular member. A flexible interface connects the column assembly to the wall end assembly. The flexible interface includes a spring pack assembly having a disc spring, an elongated male fastening member, a female fastening member, and an absorbing layer. The male fastening member extends through the spring pack hole into the female fastening member to connect the column assembly to the wall end assembly with the female fastening member and to hold the male fastening member in place.
METAL FRAMING SELF-LOCKING CONNECTORS
The present invention relates to metal framed wall components with self-locking fixed and sliding connections between support members and crossing connecting members without using fasteners to connect the two crossing metal framing members together. Different variations of the shapes of the connecting members as well as the location and shape of the notches, ledges, tabs and notched-tabs are used between the members at the holes, punch-outs or indentations all determine the self-locking connections.
BASE CONNECTIONS AND STRUCTURES INCLUDING THE BASE CONNECTIONS, KITS FOR FORMING AND METHODS OF REPAIRING THE SAME
Embodiments are directed to base connections, structures including base connections, kits for forming the base connections and/or structures, and method of repairing yielded base connections. In an embodiment, a base connection includes a base plate including a top surface and a bottom surface opposite the top surface. The top surface is configured to be adjacent to a terminal end of a column and the bottom surface adjacent to a foundation. The connection also includes one or more anchor rods attached to the base plate. The anchor rods are configured to secure the base plate to the foundation. The connection includes at least one structural fuse configured to be attached to the column and attached to the base plate. The fuse includes a plate with at least one cutout formed therein. The cutout is configured to form one or more yield regions that are configured to preferentially yield.
Modular building structures improvements
There is provided building structures that are demountable from a first configuration to be reassemblable to the first configuration or another configuration. The building structures include systems and kits for the structure, post anchors, kits for floor structure, method for assembling floor structures, wall and ceiling support systems, electrical junction box supports, and kits for frame assembly.
STRUCTURAL COMPONENT FOR MODULAR WALLS
A reversible structural component for use as a portion of a vertical frame in a modular wall system includes an elongate body extending between a first end and a second end thereof, a plurality of countersunk through-holes extending through the structural component, and a plurality of threaded through-holes extending through the structural component. The countersunk through-holes and the threaded through-holes are disposed on the elongate body between the first end and the second end so that the countersunk through-holes of the structural component are aligned with the threaded through-holes of a separate identical structural component when back sides of the structural component and the separate identical structural component are brought together 180-degrees relative to one another during use.
CONSTRUCTION SYSTEM
A building construction system comprising: a primary support member having a first end and a second end, an inner facing part and an opposite outer facing part, a secondary support member having a first end and a second end, inner facing part and an opposite outer facing part, a first beam having a first connecting part, a second connecting part, an inner facing part and an outer facing part, where the outer facing part of the first connecting part is configured to be attached to the inner facing part of the primary support member and an outer facing part of the second connecting part is configured to be attached to the inner facing part of the secondary support member, and where outer facing part of the first beam comprises a spacer element that is configured to extend from the primary support member to the secondary support member where an outer facing part of the spacer element is configured to be coextensive to the outer facing part of the primary support member and/or the outer facing part of the secondary support member.
Mounting Clamp
A mounting clamp for coupling a mechanical component to a mounting bracket. The mounting clamp can include a set of clamp sections, including a first clamp section and a second clamp section, hingedly coupled and movable between an open configuration and a closed configuration. The first clamp section can have a first set of clasps and a first arcuate portion extending from a first base. The second clamp section can have a second set of clasps and a second arcuate portion extending from a second base. In the closed configuration the first and second sets of clasps extend in a first direction and define an attachment portion for attaching the mounting clamp to the mounting bracket and the first and second arcuate portions extend in a second direction, different from the first direction and define a retention portion for retaining the mechanical component therein.
Structural support member with swaged female interface
A swaged interface includes a male element that includes a male cavity defined by at least one male sidewall, and a plurality of first openings defined in the at least one male sidewall. The swaged interface also includes a female element that includes a female cavity defined by at least one female sidewall, and a plurality of second openings defined in the at least one female sidewall. The female element has an inner cross section sized to receive the male element such that each of the first openings is aligned with a respective one of the second openings. The inner cross section is formed by swaging.
Spacer braces for walls, joists and trusses
The present invention relates to using interlocking spacer braces between support members to construct wood and metal framed walls, floors and building trusses. Spacer braces have indentations, extensions, fingers that interlock horizontally, vertically or diagonally between support members. The spacer braces can form diagonal and lateral wall bracing, diagonal and vertical chords within building truss with either horizontally or vertical orientations, beams, hold-downs and shear walls. The spacer braces can be installed between wood or metal framing members.
