A guardrail assembly comprising a first bracket coupled to a first vertical surface and a second bracket coupled to a second vertical surface spaced from the first vertical surface. The first bracket includes a first socket and a second socket. The first socket supports a first horizontal rail and comprises a first support surface and two walls extending from the first support surface to define a gap therebetween to receive the first rail. The first socket defines an opening at an end of the two walls to allow the first horizontal rail to be removed from the first socket by lifting the rail. The second socket is similar to the first socket and supports a second rail. The second bracket is similar to the first bracket, with a third socket supporting a second portion of the first rail, and a fourth socket supporting a second portion of the second rail.

A handrail assembly comprises an elongated railing and a plurality of brackets. The railing has two lateral channels extending along its length and a central member extending between the two lateral channels. At least one of the brackets has a base and two prongs extending away from the base. Each of the prongs engages one of the lateral channels. The engagement of the railing with the brackets forms a cavity that is defined, at least in part, by the central member, the base, and the prongs.

A unitary railing portion for a railing assembly may include a top portion, a bottom portion, a first side portion, and a second side portion. At least one aperture in the unitary railing portion may be configured for inserting a baluster along an axis of insertion between the first side portion and the second side portion. A channel may be extended from the first side portion and a cantilevered arm may be extended from the second side portion. A retaining element may be disposed at least partially in the channel. The retaining element and the cantilevered arm may be configured to retain the baluster relative to the unitary railing portion. In some examples, the unitary railing portion may be included in a railing assembly. The railing assembly may include at least one unitary railing portion and at least one baluster inserted into the unitary railing portion.

A unitary railing portion for a railing assembly may include a top portion, a bottom portion, a first side portion, and a second side portion. At least one aperture in the unitary railing portion may be configured for inserting a baluster along an axis of insertion between the first side portion and the second side portion. A channel may be extended from the first side portion and a cantilevered arm may be extended from the second side portion. A retaining element may be disposed at least partially in the channel. The retaining element and the cantilevered arm may be configured to retain the baluster relative to the unitary railing portion. In some examples, the unitary railing portion may be included in a railing assembly. The railing assembly may include at least one unitary railing portion and at least one baluster inserted into the unitary railing portion.

Disclosed is a handrail and railing assembly, which is made up of a handrail, a plurality of support frames, a movable corner, connecting sleeves and a corner connecting rod; wherein the handrail is connected by a plurality of handrail units and connecting sleeves, and connected by a movable corner or corner connecting rod at a corner; the spaced support frames are provided to hold the handrail. The handrail and railing assembly meets the strength requirements of different sites and can be adjusted according to the on-site installers.

A decorative bar, configured to be mounted on a surface (wall or floor) of a room or building, comprises (a) an elongate rod formed of natural stone and having a substantially constant cross-sectional shape from a first end to an opposite, second end and a longitudinal groove extending along one side, and (b) an elongate metal armature or brace having a portion thereof inserted in and substantially filling the longitudinal groove in the stone rod. The metal brace has a flange or bracket at each end configured to be attached to the surface (wall or floor) of a building to affix and retain the stone rod in a mounted relationship to this surface with its longitudinal groove on a side which is not readily visible to a casual observer.
