BALUSTER ATTACHMENT MECHANISM HAVING SECURING RESILIENT FLANGES
20230160212 · 2023-05-25 ·

A multi-directional railing support includes a fastener having a first threaded end that attaches to a substrate and a second threaded end. A securing portion is attached to the second threaded end and includes outwardly extending resilient flanges. The securing portion and the second threaded end define a receiving stud. The securing portion is axially adjustable relative to the second threaded end to adjust a clearance space between the securing portion and the substrate. A baluster includes a hollow end that extends over the outwardly extending resilient flanges of the receiving stud. The outwardly extending resilient flanges cooperate with the hollow end to provide for movement of the baluster toward the substrate and contemporaneously prevent movement of the baluster away from the substrate. The outwardly extending resilient flanges bias the baluster toward a rotational axis of the fastener.

A baluster support sleeve for securing a baluster to a stair includes a body including an outer surface and an alignment wing extending from the outer surface. The alignment wing is designed to secure the baluster support sleeve within an installation hole defined in a stair. A baluster recess is defined through the body and interior walls surround the baluster recess. A lower end of a baluster may be received within the baluster recess. The baluster may be secured within the baluster recess and raised into position within a banister to form a handrail for a stairway.

Decorative shoe for balusters
11225798 · 2022-01-18 ·

Improved decorative shoes for balusters that cover and conceal the attachment points of the balusters to the tread, floor, or rail surfaces and secure themselves in place without the need for mechanical fasteners or adhesives. The baluster shafts can be retained within central holes in the shoes by the use of compressive elastic means such as flexible sheets, rods, strips, O-rings or the like to produce an interference fit when the shaft is inserted in the holes. The shoes can be produced in both flat and angled versions.

A baluster installation system. The system can comprise a connector comprising a first section for engaging an end of a baluster and a second end for engaging a route in a handrail. The first section can comprise a first shaft and a plurality of first ribs extending from the first shaft, and the second section can include a second shaft and a plurality of second ribs extending from the second shaft. The first ribs can be adapted to engage a portion of the baluster when the first section is engaged with the end of the baluster, and the second ribs can be adapted to engage sidewalls of the route when the second section is engaged with the route.

Leveling partition mounting system

A system for leveling and securing a partition, including a base or shoe for receiving the partition, and a channel or slot formed in the base by at least a first sidewall, an opposing second sidewall, and a lower wall positioned at least in part between the first and second sidewalls. The system further includes a rocker assembly and a clamp assembly positioned within the slot. The rocker assembly includes a stationary component positioned adjacent the first sidewall and a pivoting component pivotably connected to the stationary component on a side of the stationary component opposite the first sidewall. The clamp assembly may include a stationary block adjacent the second sidewall, a first sliding block slidably connected to the stationary block and adjustable by a first fastener, and a second sliding block slidably connected to the stationary block and adjustable by a second fastener.

A removably locking baluster system in a balustrade in which a pair of connector bases mount to facing balustrade surfaces. Each base has a wall extending therefrom defining an inner wall surface and an inwardly tapered outer wall surface. An end of the baluster closely and removably fits within the base wall without necessitating removal of the bases from the balustrade. A pair of covers are provided that are slidable along the baluster, each having a tubular member with an opening configured to fit around the baluster and another opening configured to closely fit around the base. An internal wall of each cover is configured to closely abut the outer base wall surface and has a complementary taper to the outer base wall surface to urge the base wall against the baluster end to provide frictional engagement between the inner base wall surface and the baluster.
