A method covers at least a portion of a surface of an existing structure with a repair structure. The method comprises: providing a standoff, the standoff elongated in a longitudinal direction and operable from an open configuration to a closed configuration; while the standoff is in the open configuration, mounting the standoff to the existing structure, such that the standoff projects outwardly away from the surface of the existing structure; closing the standoff to the closed configuration, the closing of the standoff forming a standoff connector; and coupling a cladding panel to the standoff by engaging the panel with the standoff connector at a location spaced outwardly apart from the surface of the existing structure by a void.

The present invention relates to a facing surface which can be applied on a building construction. The object of the inventions is to provide a facing surface for a building construction which is reliable, robust and weather resistant, and furthermore is easy to handle, easy to attach to a building construction and easy to maintain afterwards. where said facing panel is capable of being attached to the mounting bracket, when said facing panel is arranged in an upside down inverted position relative to said mounting bracket, where the inner surface of said facing panel is facing said mounting bracket, where the panel attachment rail is capable of engaging the bracket attachment rail.

The present disclosure relates generally to building surface systems, for example, suitable for forming an internal or external surface of a building. The present disclosure relates more particularly to a building surface product that includes a panel and a first attachment post extending outward from a rear surface of the panel. The first attachment post includes a shaft having a first end that penetrates the rear surface of the panel and second end that is spaced from the panel. The first attachment post also includes a lip extending radially outward from the shaft that is configured to hold the first attachment post in an aperture of a support structure. Example embodiments of the described technology provide a building wrap useful for retrofitting a building. The building wrap may comprise a plurality of different types of pre-fabricated panels such as roof panels, wall panels and foundation panels. Wall panels may be coupled to mounting rails which are attached to an exterior wall of the building. The foundation panels may carry the weight of the wall panels. At least some portions of some of the foundation panels may be below a grade level of the building.

An insulation clip which is used to retain insulation in place before materials are placed over the insulation during the construction of a wall assembly. The clip is configured to be snapped onto either a horizontally disposed girt or a vertically disposed girt. The clip not only maintains the insulation in place but creates a gap between the outer side of the insulation and the cladding which is placed thereon.
