Anchoring Device And Method For Installation
A system and method for creating an anchoring device that attaches between two nearby surfaces that may be oriented at different angles to each other about a vertical axis is described. The anchoring device includes a first and second support base that are fastened to a support surface, and a cross member that extends between the support bases and is pivotable about a vertical axis with respect to the support bases. The cross member may be adjustable in length. The anchoring device can be used to support an end of a plank to make a platform. The other end of the plank may be supported by a second anchoring device or another support surface.
APPARATUS FOR QUICK-DEPLOY SCAFFOLDING
An apparatus for suspended scaffolding, comprising a Z-shaped anchoring plate comprised of a first horizontally protruding element, a second opposable protruding element, and said elements continuously coupled to each other via a vertical middle element, wherein the Z-shaped plate is configured to securely cover at least portions of a top wall, inner wall of a parapet, and a roof; at least one threaded rod with torqued nut anchored through at least one of the vertical element and/or the first element of the anchoring plate and through at least one of the top wall, inner wall, and/or outer wall of the parapet; an L-shaped receiver plate secured over at least a portion of the top wall and outer wall of the parapet and rod-nut anchored to the anchoring plate, wherein the receiver plate is configured to secure a suspended scaffold for a user to engage a façade of a structure in any direction; and a counterweight securely rested on a top surface of the second element in order to counter the weight of the suspended scaffold.
Anchor
An anchor for arrangement in a building element, in particular in a wall, in a ceiling or in a precast concrete part. The anchor includes an anchoring element for anchoring in a receiving opening of the building element comprising an undercut, a connecting element for connection to a supporting element, in particular to a platform for formwork, or to a support arm for a protective shield, or to a lifting element for lifting the building element. In some aspects, the anchoring element is movable between an anchoring position for anchoring in the receiving opening and a release position for removal from the building element. The anchor may additionally include a securing element which blocks the movement of the anchoring element between the anchoring position and the release position in a first position and releases the anchoring element in a second position.
LOCK MECHANISM FOR A SCAFFOLDING CLAMP
A lock mechanism (10) for a scaffolding clamp or coupler (33) having a threaded rod (15) and a securing nut (14) is disclosed. The mechanism deters unauthorised removal of the securing nut and has a locknut (12) engageable with the threaded rod and having an unconventional drive mechanism (17). The mechanism also has a substantially cylindrical hollow sleeve (13) with a cylindrical interior dimensioned to surround the securing nut and locknut. The locknut has a main body with a tapered nose (21) able to bear against the securing nut and an annular recess (23). The sleeve interior has an inwardly projecting substantially annular flange (26) through which the nose can be forced to locate the flange in the recess and thereby retain the sleeve on the locknut. In addition, the sleeve has an exterior which is smooth and devoid of projections and recesses, and an axial length greater than the combined axial lengths of said securing nut and locknut, to thereby shield both the securing nut and the lock nut. A cup shaped shield (40) and cap (45) for masonry bolts (37) is also disclosed.
ANCHOR FOR A SELF-CLIMBING STRUCTURE
An anchor for self-climbing structure of the type used on vertical or near-vertical concrete surfaces that uses metal inserts in the precast concrete tower and interlocking spikes in the self-climbing structure that are provided with rotary and rocking movement is disclosed. The anchor affords the main advantage of minimising tensile and shear loads on the concrete of the tower with maximum contact and optimum load distribution, while also achieving self-correction of possible coupling positioning and alignment errors. All of this results in improved delivery and distribution of the loads from the climbing device to the concrete wall and general structure that allows larger sized loads to be lifted and withstood than existing devices.
TRUSS SUPPORT SYSTEM
A truss support system (10) comprises a support pole (12), a connector (14) located at one end of the support pole (12) and for connecting to a scaffold pole (16), a first extendable arm (18) connected at one end to the support pole (12) and extending away from the support pole (12), and a first fixing plate (20) connected to the first extendable arm 18 at the opposite end to the support pole (12). The truss support system (10) is also provided with a second extendable arm connected at one end to the support pole (12) and extending away from the support pole (12), and a second fixing plate connected to the second extendable arm at the opposite end to the support pole (12).
Safety device
A free-standing demountable window safety assembly adapted to rest, in use, on the floor inside a room containing a window opening in a wall, and against the wall containing the window, without engaging with the window opening, said assembly comprising: —⋅(i) at least two feet (125, 126) adapted to engage with the room floor⋅(ii) at least two arms (121A, 121B, 135A, 135B) adapted to engage with the room wall adjacent to but spaced away from the window opening; ⋅(iii) at least two side portions (125, 123A, 135A, 133A) each supporting an arm; ⋅(iv) at least one linking member (111A, 111C) adapted to link opposing side portions or opposing feet in a substantially rigid fashion. The invention also includes methods of manufacturing and using such safety assemblies.
CLIMBING SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR OPERATING A CLIMBING SYSTEM
The invention relates to a climbing system (100, 110), in particular a self-climbing formwork system, comprising at least one climbing rail (10) which is guided on at least two climbing shoes (38), wherein the climbing shoes (38) can be fastened on and/or in a cured concreting section (50), and wherein the climbing shoes (30) are designed to guide the climbing rail (10) and/or to hold it at least with respect to a climbing direction (K), and an actuator (16). The invention is characterized in that the at least one climbing rail (10) has at least a first and a second rail part (12, 14), wherein the first and the second rail part (12, 14) are arranged one behind the other as viewed in the climbing direction (K), in that the first and the second rail part (12, 14) can each be guided and held by means of one of the climbing shoes (38), and in that the actuator (16) is designed to selectively increase or reduce the distance (d) between the first and the second rail part (12, 14) along the climbing direction. The invention further relates to a method for operating a climbing system (100, 110). The invention opens up a novel climbing principle for climbing systems (100, 110) and thus allows, inter alia, continuous climbing for example along a cured concreting section (50).
