RAPID DOOR LATCHING DEVICE
20220372804 · 2022-11-24 ·

The present invention is directed to a door latching device that can be deployed in emergency situations to lock down a classroom, business, church, home or any other building. The device comprises a backing plate, a hinge body, a jamb hook and a hinge shaft that can pivot, thereby moving the jamb hook from a stored position to a latched position and vice versa. When the device is in a latched position, the device prevents a door from opening. The device can be moved from the stored position to a latched position, and conversely from the latched position to the stored position, with the use of only one hand and without the use of a specialized key.

Swing bolt lock

A swing bolt lock includes a swing post, a cam dog, and an electric device cooperative with a lock bolt. The electric device includes a motor, a slider connected to a rotating shaft of the motor. Without an unlock authorization, the slider is situated in the space at an end of a sliding slot and abutted against the cam dog to prevent the cam dog from moving towards the space at the end of the sliding slot, so as to prevent the lock bolt from entering into the lock housing. With an unlock authorization, the slider is driven by the motor and released from the abutment of the cam dog, and the cam dog is driven by the lock bolt and swing post to enter into the space at the end of the sliding slot so as to release the locking of the lock bolt from turning into the lock housing.

Electronic and mechanical combination lock

A lock including a housing and an opening for receiving a locking bolt moveable between a locked position and an unlocked position is provided. The lock also includes a rotary actuator having a rotary output of a predetermined amount and responsive to entry of an electronic combination input by a user; a cam wheel operably coupled to the housing and responsive to a manual combination input of the user, the cam wheel including a cam way; a bolt release lever moveably coupled to the housing and including a nose portion engageable with the cam way and a locking bar; and an armature post responsive to both the rotary and manual inputs, the armature post moveable between a blocking position for blocking the locking bolt in the locked position and an unblocking position for allowing the locking bolt to move into the unlocked position.

Safety locking mechanism for lockset

The present invention relates to a safety locking mechanism for a lockset having a cover plate, a support plate, and a lock body. The safety locking mechanism includes a locking push rod having a direction-limiting shaft and a cylindrical rod, a locking stopper, and a locking compression spring. The direction-limiting shaft is mounted at one end of the cylindrical rod and the other end of the cylindrical rod passes through the support plate and presses against the cover plate. The locking stopper is rotatably mounted on the cylindrical rod and has a front end and a back end being close against the support plate and the lock body respectively. The lock body is provided with a direction-limiting groove. The direction-limiting shaft is mounted in the direction-limiting groove. The locking compression spring is mounted between the direction-limiting shaft and a bottom end of the direction-limiting groove in a compressed manner.

A lock including a removable dial is provided. The lock includes locking means configured to lock and unlock a removable dial to replace the dial or to service the lock. The locking means are moveable between a first locked position and a second unlocked position in which the dial may be removed. The locking means may comprise a finger-actuated button that is biased in the locked position by compression means. The compression means may comprise a spring. Applying force to the button overcomes the counterforce being exerted by the compression means and the front facing dial can be easily removed. To replace the dial, force must again be applied to the locking means to move the locking means to the second unlocked position or alternatively the shaft of the dial is inserted into the housing and snaps into place.
