Throw lock assemblies, throw bolt assemblies, and methods for assembling and using same
11591833 · 2023-02-28 · ·

A lock assembly comprising a throw bolt, a bolt holder and a bolt keeper. The bolt comprises a cutting barrier and a bolt casing, the bolt casing being more corrosion-resistant than the cutting barrier, and the cutting barrier being more abrasion-resistant that the bolt casing. When assembled, the cutting barrier will be enclosed within the bolt casing.

DEADBOLT ASSEMBLY

A lock mechanism having a bolt movable between a thrown position and a retracted position, and a deadbolt assembly includes a sliding deadbolt configured to slide between a locked position in which the sliding deadbolt inhibits retraction of the bolt and an unlocked position. The sliding deadbolt includes a first anti-thrust cam configured to restrain the sliding deadbolt in the locked position, and a release driver arranged such that, when driven, the release driver releases the first anti-thrust cam from restraining the sliding deadbolt in the locked position and slides the deadbolt to the unlocked position.

ELECTRONIC LOCK WITH FACIAL AUTHENTICATION FEATURES

An electronic lock includes an interior subassembly including a manual turnpiece, a control circuit, and a motor actuatable by the control circuit, and an exterior subassembly including a facial authentication circuit operatively connected to the control circuit. The electronic lock includes a latch operatively connected to the interior subassembly, the latch being engageable by the manual turnpiece or the motor to move the electronic lock between a locked state and an unlocked state. The facial authentication circuit includes at least one camera and is configured to generate an authentication signal to the control circuit, and wherein, at least in part in response to the authentication signal, the control circuit is configured to actuate the motor to move the electronic lock between the locked state and the unlocked state.

Latch assembly for glovebox

A latch assembly for closing a door of a glovebox compartment includes a key cylinder having an eccentric shaft; a striker connected to the key cylinder to form a scotch-yoke connection to the eccentric shaft so that a rotation of the key cylinder is transformed to a linear movement of the striker; and a pair of latching members to lock the door. The pair of latching members includes a first latching member having an operation portion to engage or disengage from the striker, and a second latching member connected to the first latching member to simultaneously move with the first latching member. The key cylinder rotates to switch between an unlocked state in which the striker engages the operation portion and a locked state in which the striker is disengaged from the operation portion.

FIELD-HANDABLE GATE LATCH

A latch includes a housing that has a first side and a second side. The latch includes a bolt assembly that is positioned at least partially within the housing. The bolt assembly includes a bolt movable between an extended position and a retracted position relative to at least one of the first and second sides of the housing. The bolt is biased toward at least one of the extended position and the retracted position, and the bolt is positionable so as to selectively extend from either the first side or the second of the housing in the extended position.

LOCK ASSEMBLY FOR A VEHICLE LOAD COMPARTMENT
20230087515 · 2023-03-23 · ·

A lock assembly is intended to improve the security of a roller shutter door or tailgate door, especially on a vehicle used to make frequent deliveries and collections. The lock assembly provides a bolt (15) mounted in an enveloping housing (1) to be displaced solely by the action of a key placed in a lock (14) and rotated. Rotation displaces the bolt (15) between an extended condition where the bolt can engage in a staple (10) so locking the door closed, and a retracted condition where the door can be opened.

LOCK DEVICE CAPABLE OF MAGNETIC SENSING, BOLT CALIBRATION METHOD, AND DOOR CALIBRATION METHOD

A lock device includes a shell, a bolt mechanism, a magnetic member, and a magnetic sensing module. The magnetic member is movable with the bolt mechanism. When the bolt mechanism is moved between a locking position and an unlocking position, the magnetic sensing module senses a magnetic force variation of the magnetic member. The lock device further includes a magnetic force generation member disposed on a wall. When a door located at a door-closed position with the bolt mechanism being moved to the locking position is shaken relative to the wall, the magnetic sensing module senses a magnetic force variation of the magnetic force generation member.

CYLINDER DRY LOCK ASSEMBLY

A door assembly includes a door having opposing first and second surfaces and a hole defined in the door and extending between the first and second surfaces, a cylinder lock mounted to the second surface at the hole, and a cylinder dry lock assembly mounted to the door at the hole adjacent the first surface. The cylinder dry lock assembly including a main body that defines a central orifice, a low-friction member received within the central orifice, and an actuation mechanism extending from the low-friction member and engageable with the cylinder lock. Actuating the cylinder lock rotates the actuation mechanism, and the cylinder dry lock assembly generates a sealed interface at the hole that prevents water from migrating between the first and second surfaces at the hole.

DEADBOLT CONTROL AND SECURITY SYSTEMS

A deadbolt control and security system for preventing rotation of a deadbolt manual egress handle of a deadbolt lock is described herein. The system preferably includes a deadbolt interface unit and at least one actuator unit. The deadbolt interface unit has a manual mode (the deadbolt interface unit manual egress handle controlling locking and unlocking the deadbolt lock) and a remote mode (the at least one actuator unit controlling locking and unlocking the deadbolt lock). The deadbolt interface unit includes: a deadbolt interface unit manual egress handle; a gear train having a shaft coordinated with the deadbolt interface unit manual egress handle; a unit-handle coupler that interfaces between the deadbolt manual egress handle and the deadbolt interface unit manual egress handle via the shaft; and a clutch. Preferred systems prevent the deadbolt lock from being unlocked using keys and/or other bypass tools.

LOCK HAVING ROTATABLE AUXILIARY POSITIONING STRUCTURE
20230127753 · 2023-04-27 ·

A lock having a rotatable auxiliary positioning structure is adapted to connect with a latch element which includes a drive orifice, and the lock contains: a first locking assembly and a second locking assembly. The first locking assembly includes a transmission unit and a guide seat, the guide seat has at least one guiding extension. The second locking assembly includes a driving element, and a connecting position is defined between the first locking assembly and the second locking assembly in a rotatable direction. At least one of the transmission unit and the driving element is rotatably received in and drives the drive orifice of the latch element, the at least one guiding extension is configured to be connected with the latch element and to guide the first locking assembly to be positioned on the connecting position along the rotatable direction opposite to the latch element.
