Retrofit latch adapter
A retrofit latch adapter is configured to replace a pre-existing roller head latch assembly of a pre-existing exit device. The retrofit latch adapter may include a flat latch head that may provide additional security for a door compared with the pre-existing roller head pre-existing latch assembly. A method of installing such a retrofit latch adapter in a preexisting exist device may include rotationally releasing a pre-existing latch assembly having a roller latch head from the pre-existing exit device; rotating the pre-existing latch assembly to linearly decouple the pre-existing latch assembly from a transmission of the pre-existing exit device; removing the pre-existing latch assembly from the pre-existing exit device; rotating the retrofit latch adapter to linearly couple the retrofit latch adapter to the transmission of the pre-existing exit device; inserting the retrofit latch adapter at least partially into a housing of the pre-existing exit device; aligning the flat latch head with an uppermost portion of the housing of the pre-existing exit device; and rotationally securing the retrofit latch adapter to the pre-existing exit device.
Gate-latching assembly
A gate-latching assembly is configured for utilization with a gate assembly. The gate assembly includes a stationary gate post configured to be mounted to, and to extend from, a working surface once the stationary gate post is mounted to the working surface, and in which the gate assembly also includes a movable gate door configured to be movable relative to the stationary gate post. There is provided a combination for utilization with the gate assembly. The combination includes any one of (A) a striker base assembly and a striker member, (B) a latch base assembly and a latch assembly, and/or (C) a striker base assembly, a striker member, a latch base assembly and a latch assembly.
BALK DEVICE FOR DOOR LOCK
An assembly is provided for an aircraft. This aircraft assembly includes a latch, a balk element and a fitting. The latch is movable between an unlocked position and a locked position. The balk element is rotatable between a balked position and an un-balked position. The balk element is configured to block the latch from moving to the locked position when the balk element is in the balked position. The fitting includes a keeper. The fitting is movable between an open position and a closed position. The fitting is configured to push the balk element into the un-balked position as the fitting moves into the closed position. The latch is configured to move to the locked position and engage the keeper when the fitting is in the closed position.

Combination slam latch and cam lock adapter
A self-contained combination latch and cam lock adapter module affixes to the rear of any lock (keyed or non-keyed) that has a requisite mating feature. The module is alignable in any of four positions (up, down, left, and right) on the back of the lock for latching in any installed position. The module allows a user to slam closed an associated door or drawer without having to rotate the lock into a locked position. The module retrofits in the field by removing and replacing an existing fixed cam. In one embodiment, a mating part is rotationally spring-loaded so that when the key or knob is turned and then released, the module automatically returns to its locked position, ready to be shut.
