Latch module, a hinge module and an appliance using the same

A latch module includes a latch including a hook for engaging with a pin, a spring that applies a force to move the latch in a first direction; and a motor to pivot the latch. The hook is opened at a front end toward the first direction that opens to an engaging surface provided in the hook for engaging with the pin and the engaging surface includes a disengaging inclined surface that is disposed at a front end portion of the hook and a secure lock surface that is disposed behind the disengaging inclined surface. The disengaging inclined surface has an inclined surface inclined in the first direction and the secure lock surface has an inclined surface inclined in a second direction opposite the first direction. In a first basic position of the latch, the disengaging inclined surface of the hook is positioned to engage with the pin. In a second basic position of the latch, the engaging surface of the hook is positioned to release the pin. In a third basic position of the latch, the secure lock surface of the hook is positioned to engage with the pin.

The present application provides a lock (100) for a door. The lock comprises a housing (102), a lock mechanism (108), and a bolt (104). An end portion (112) of the bolt comprises a trigger (106). The lock mechanism is operable to move the bolt between a locked position in which the end portion extends through an opening in the housing and projects from the housing, and an unlocked position in which the end portion is within the housing. The lock further comprises a retraction mechanism (110), wherein actuation of trigger causes the retraction mechanism to automatically move the bolt from the locked position into the unlocked position.

METHOD AND DEVICE FOR SENSING A STRIKER WITHIN A ROTARY LATCH

A latch assembly includes a frame and a pawl including a surface for receiving a striker and being movably coupled to the frame between an open and a closed position. A trigger is mounted to the frame and is movable between a locked position and an unlocked position, wherein, in the locked position of the trigger, the trigger is positioned to retain the pawl in the closed position. A striker bar is movably coupled to the trigger and is positioned to be contacted by the striker, wherein the striker bar is configured to move in the course of moving the striker into the pawl. A device for sensing a position of the striker bar, wherein the position of the striker bar is indicative of the position of the striker and the position of the trigger.

GATE LATCH ASSEMBLY

A latch assembly includes a rose, a handle rotatably coupled to the rose and rotatable around a rotation axis, and a latch. A biasing member is disposed within the rose and engaged with the latch. The biasing member being selectively connectable to the rose. When the biasing member is connected to the rose, the latch is pivotable around the rotation axis between a latched position and an unlatched position via the handle. The latch biased towards the latched position. When the biasing member is disconnected from the rose, the handle and the latch are rotatable together around the rotation axis between at least a left-handed configuration and a right-handed configuration. The biasing member connecting to the rose to secure the handle and the latch in either the left-handed configuration or the right-handed configuration.

Opposed hook sliding door lock

A sliding door lock system has a centrally-disposed operator. The operator has a casing with a trigger retractably extended from the casing. An operator mechanism disposed in the casing is operatively engaged with the trigger. A lock remotely disposed from the operator has a housing. A pair of opposed locking hooks extend from the housing and a spring biases each hook into an unlocked position. A block pivotably connected to the housing is configured to engage the hooks when the hooks are in a locked position. An elongate member operably connects the operator mechanism to the block.

Animal enclosure with dual door assembly

An animal enclosure including a plurality of members defining an interior of the enclosure. One of the plurality of members includes a first member having a frame structure and door assembly formed by a plurality of interconnected horizontal and vertical wires. At least two of the horizontal wires of the frame structure form a hook positioned inside the defined opening. The door assembly is coupled to the frame and moves between open and closed positions. The door assembly includes a first door and a second door removably coupled to one another. The enclosure also includes a latch assembly for releasing the door assembly from the frame structure. In the closed position, at least one horizontal wire of the first door and at least one horizontal wire of the second door are coupled to the hooks formed by the at least two horizontal wires of the frame structure.
