An aircraft storage bin that includes a latch system that includes a pivot plate assembly, a mounting plate assembly and a latch button assembly. The pivot plate assembly includes a pivot plate attached to the bucket, a latch arm that is pivotally connected to the pivot plate and is pivotal between latched and unlatched positions, and a latch pawl that is pivotal between latched and unlatched positions. A latch activator is secured to the latch arm, which includes a roller member. The latch pawl includes hook and roller receiver portions. In the latched position, the roller member is received in the roller receiver portion. The mounting plate assembly includes a mounting plate to which the pivot plate is pivotally connected and a striker that is received in the hook portion when the bucket is in the closed position. Movement of the button from the home position to the actuation position moves the latch activator, which pivots the latch arm to the unlatched position, the roller member is released from the roller receiver portion and the latch pawl pivots to the unlatched position and releases the striker from the hook portion.

Movement of the button from the home position to the actuation position moves the latch activator, which pivots the latch arm to the unlatched position, the roller member is released from the roller receiver portion and the latch pawl pivots to the unlatched position and releases the striker from the hook portion.

Remotely locked airline overhead bins

A storage system that includes storage bins and a locking system. The locking system includes an actuation lever, pins that engage with the storage bins, and an elongated link that extends between and connects the actuation lever to the pins. The locking system is selectively movable between a locked position with the actuation lever in a first position and the pins engaged with the storage bins to prevent the storage bins from moving from the closed position, and an unlocked position with the actuation lever in a second position and the pins disengaged from the storage bins to allow the storage bins to move between the open and closed positions.

The door latch has a body, a pawl provided with a rotating shaft, a first gap being provided between two ends of the rotating shaft, and a mounting slot being provided in one side of the pawl, a first pin mounted on the pawl, the first pin being mounted in the mounting slot in the pawl, a spring having two ends which are connected to the body and the pawl, respectively, a first end of the spring being connected to the first pin through the first gap. During installation of the door latch, assembly of the door latch is quick and easy because the first pin is put into the pin mounting slot in the pawl from the top side of the pin mounting slot, and repair with changing of components is also easy.

The locking member is designed as a rotary locking member that is driven by the drive device in a circulating manner about a locking member axis in only one rotational direction and comprises multiple locking elements which are offset to one another over the angle at the circumference of the locking member and which interact with the pivoting catch as respective tumblers depending on the rotational angle. Only one of the locking elements constantly acts directly on the pivoting catch for a locking and unlocking process, and the adjacent locking element opposite the rotational direction of the rotary locking member acts on the pivoting catch by rotating the rotary locking member for a subsequent locking and unlocking process.
