Systems, methods, and apparatus for managing and controlling network-enabled movable barrier operators is provided. A method for managing network-enabled movable barrier operator includes receiving a user account identifier and a movable barrier operator identifier from a user device, providing an instruction to perform a specified action with a movable barrier operator associated with the movable barrier operator identifier to the user device, determining a registration condition is met upon detecting that the specified action has been performed, and, in the event that the registration condition is met, associating the movable barrier operator identifier with the user account identifier to allow a user account associated with the user account identifier to control the movable barrier operator over a network.
METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR INFRARED SYNCHRONIZATION
A door sensor may include one or more emitters configured to emit an emission beam comprising IR light during an emitting phase. The door sensor may further include one or more receptors configured to receive a reception beam comprising the IR light reflected off of a surface during a listening phase and an interference beam from an adjacent door sensor. The door sensor may further include a controller operatively coupled to a memory storing computer-readable instructions that, when executed by the controller, cause the controller to: determine one or more of the frequency and phase of the interference beam; determine whether the door sensor should be primary or secondary to the adjacent door sensor; and adjust a timing of one or more of the emitting phase and the listening phase to reduce interference from the adjacent door sensor.
Safety eye light apparatus and methods of use
Garage door opening systems commonly include lighting generated from lower wattage bulbs mounted to an electric operator near a garage ceiling. This lighting is inadequate to fully illuminate a garage space particularly at the floor level. Since vehicles park under the light, the vehicle can become a blocker of light. Disclosed are garage door opening systems including a safety eye light which integrates a light source into the safety eye of a garage door opening system thereby providing additional illumination to poorly lit areas of a garage. This additional source of lighting helps assure users safer home to vehicle ingress and egress. In some forms, the lights in the safety eye light are fixed, in other forms the lights are adjustable in direction. Various methods of integrating a safety eye light into a garage door opening system and use of the safety eye light are disclosed herein.
METHOD FOR DETERMINING THE DOOR POSITION IN A DOOR SYSTEM
The present invention relates to a method for determining the door position in a door system which has a rail for guiding a movable door element and a sensor element (10) for detecting a free movement path of the door element (50), the method comprising the steps of: detecting the state of the at least one sensor element (10), which can either be free of the door element (50) or covered by the door element (50), such that, in the event of a change in the state of the sensor element (10), the arrangement position of the sensor element (10) corresponds to the door element (50), and a door control lines the door position with the aid of this information.
Anti-trap system for an open roof assembly
An open roof assembly is configured for providing a closable roof opening in a vehicle roof. Thereto, the open roof assembly comprises a closure member that is moveably arranged for opening and closing the roof opening and a detection system for detecting an object in the roof opening. The detection system is configured to provide an entrapment signal if a foreign object is detected in the roof opening, when the closure member is moving and a collision may occur. The detection system is further configured to provide an operating signal, when an object is detected performing a predefined action. Based on the operating signal a control unit may execute an associated function.
AUTOMATIC DOOR INSTALLATION
There is disclosed an automatic door installation 100 configured to determine the presence of an obstacle 150 in one or more detection zones remote from a door opening, comprising: at least a first door 104 slidable in a door opening along a horizontal door axis from an open configuration to a closed configuration during a door closing operation; a plurality of transmitter-receiver pairs, each transmitter-receiver pair comprising: a transmitter 116 for transmitting a beam 140 and a receiver 118 for receiving a reflection of the beam, wherein one of the transmitter 116 and the receiver 118 is coupled to the first door so that, in use, the transmitter and receiver move closer together during the door closing operation; wherein the transmitter 116 defines a transmitter axis 120 corresponding to the optical axis of the beam; wherein the receiver 118 has a field of view 142 for receiving the beam, which is oriented around a receiver axis; and wherein the transmitter axis 120 and the receiver axis 122 are configured so that the beam and the field of view overlap to define a detection zone for the transmitter-receiver pair in at least one operational configuration of the door installation. At least one of the transmitter axis 120 and the receiver axis 122 is inclined with respect to the horizontal plane and the transmitter 116 is vertically spaced apart from the receiver 118.
POWER TAILGATE DETECTION SYSTEMS FOR DETECTING OBJECTS IN A MOVING PATH OF A POWERED TAILGATE
A power tailgate detection system is provided including a vehicle, a sensing system, and a control unit. The vehicle includes a bumper and a tailgate moveable between a closed position and an open position. The sensing system is disposed on an exterior surface of the tailgate and includes at least one emitter and at least one receiver. The emitter is positioned to emit radiation in a direction parallel to the exterior surface of the tailgate. The receiver is positioned to receive the radiation emitted by the emitter. The control unit is configured to control operation of the tailgate between to prohibit movement of the tailgate toward the open position when an object interferes with the radiation.
MODULAR GARAGE DOOR OPENER
A modular garage door opener system and method including a garage door opener having a motor that is configured to be coupled to a garage door to open and close the garage door. The garage door opener includes a first accessory port including a first accessory mounting interface and a second accessory port disposed on the garage door opener including a second accessory mounting interface. An accessory device including a first mounting interface engages the first accessory mounting interface to couple the accessory device to the first accessory port. The accessory device may be disengaged from the first accessory mounting interface and then engage the second accessory mounting interface to couple the accessory device to the second accessory port. Additionally, a second accessory device may engage the first accessory port after disengagement of the accessory device.

A power tailgate detection system is provided including a vehicle, a sensing system, and a control unit. The vehicle includes a bumper and a tailgate moveable between a closed position and an open position. The sensing system is disposed on an exterior surface of the tailgate and includes at least one emitter and at least one receiver. The emitter is positioned to emit radiation in a direction parallel to the exterior surface of the tailgate. The receiver is positioned to receive the radiation emitted by the emitter. The control unit is configured to control operation of the tailgate between to prohibit movement of the tailgate toward the open position when an object interferes with the radiation.
