METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING MULTI-LAYER STACK
An object of the present disclosure is to provide a method for manufacturing a multi-layer stack with excellent mechanical strength and thermal insulation properties. A multi-layer stack includes a glass panel unit, an intermediate film, and a transparent plate attached via the intermediate film to the glass panel unit. The glass panel unit includes a first glass panel, a second glass panel, and an evacuated space interposed between the first glass panel and the second glass panel. The method includes assembling the glass panel unit and the transparent plate together via the intermediate film inside an evacuated chamber.
APPARATUS TO BE DETACHABLY FIXED ON A MOUNTED GLAZING PANEL AND ASSOCIATED METHOD
An apparatus detachably fixed on a glazing panel mounted on a stationary or mobile object, the apparatus includes a fixing frame having a fixing frame plane, FFplane, a functional device, a first motor to move the functional device in a first direction, and a second motor to move the functional device in a second direction. The apparatus has at least N suction means, including a suction end, detachably fixed to the glazing panel, defining a resting distance, Drest, between the FFplane and the suction end, and defining a working distance, Dwork, between the FFplane and the suction end, and at least M rigid pushing means, comprising a pushing end defining a pushing distance, Dpush, between the FFplane and the pushing end, where the sum of the positive integers M and N is equal to or greater than 3 and where Dpush is equal to or greater than Dwork.
HIGH SPEED PARALLEL PROCESS INSULATED GLASS MANUFACTURING LINE
A high speed parallel manufacturing line for manufacturing insulated glass units, the manufacturing line including a gas filling topping press that mates a spacer applied lite supplied to the topping press and a topping lite supplied to the topping press to create an insulated glass unit and fills the insulated glass unit with a non-air gas. A heating station applies localized heat to adhesive of the spacer material. A sealing press applies pressure to the insulated glass unit and facilitates further sealing of the spacer material to the spacer applied lite and the topping lite. The line may include a fourth corner sealer that completes sealing of the airspace of the IGU prior to finishing of the IGU.
GAS FILLING OF AN INSULATING GLASS UNIT
Embodiments include a method for replacing air with an interpane gas during manufacture of a sealed insulating glass unit (IGU). The method includes forming an unsealed IGU assembly defining an IGU passage for fluid communication between an interpane space and an ambient environment; positioning the unsealed IGU assembly within an enclosure and sealing the enclosure around the unsealed IGU assembly; evacuating air from the enclosure; introducing a first gas into the interpane space through the IGU passage; introducing a second gas into the enclosure, wherein the second gas has a different composition than the first gas; and closing the IGU passage to seal the interpane space. Other embodiments are also included herein.
SYSTEM FOR PRODUCING A SEALING COMPOUND FOR INSULATING GLASS
The present invention relates to a system for the production of a sealant composite made of a primary sealing material and a curable secondary sealing material, the use of the system for the production of insulating glass or solar modules, an edge seal for the production of double-pane or multi-pane insulating glass or solar modules comprising the sealant composite and an insulating glass unit comprising at least two glass panes and the edge seal.
METHOD AND DEVICE FOR ASSEMBLING INSULATING GLASS PANELS AS WELL AS INSULATING GLASS PANEL PRODUCED IN THIS WAY
A method and device for assembling an insulating glass panel includes: a TPS station for applying a paste-like TPS strand onto a standing glass sheet edge which includes a horizontal conveyor; a rotation station with a horizontal conveyor rotatable about a vertical axis of rotation; a pressing station for joining two glass sheets that have each been provided with a TPS strand to form the insulating glass panel including two horizontal conveyors running parallel to one another; and a controller for directing two glass sheets that are supplied to the rotation station one after another and each provided with a TPS strand into the pressing station by rotating one of the glass sheets and for joining same in said pressing station to form the insulating glass panel.
INSULATING GLASS PANELS AND METHOD AND DEVICE FOR ASSEMBLING SAID INSULATING GLASS PANELS
A method and device for assembling an insulating glass panel includes: a horizontal conveyor and primer station for applying a strip-like primer along a standing glass sheet edge; a horizontal conveyor and TPS station for applying a paste-like TPS strand, that subsequently solidifies, onto a standing glass sheet edge; a rotation station for rotating glass sheets arranged downstream of the TPS station having a horizontal conveyor rotatable about a vertical axis of rotation; a pressing station for joining the glass sheets together including two parallel horizontal conveyors; and a controller for directing two glass sheets supplied to the rotation station one after another into the pressing station by rotating one of the glass sheets and for joining same in said pressing station to form the insulating glass panel. One glass sheet has a primer strip and TPS strand and the other has a primer strip.
Efficient assembly of triple pane windows
This invention describes an apparatus for assembling triple pane insulating glass units from a plurality of insulating spacer frames having sealant or adhesive applied to opposite sides of said spacer frames.
