The ejector tube includes an outlet having an outlet cross-section. The ejector tube is configured to convey treated exhaust to the outlet. The outlet cross-section is oriented at an outlet angle to a first horizontal plane. The exhaust stack includes a first conduit and a second conduit. The second conduit includes an exit port. The exit-port cross-section is oblong in shape.
Side vehicle body structure of vehicle
A side vehicle body structure ensures rigidity and shock absorption performance of the body, avoids widening of the body, and smooths the flow of exhaust gas. Embodiments include an engine, an exhaust apparatus, and a rear pillar extending upward from a rear-side portion of a side sill extending in the vehicle front-rear direction. The exhaust apparatus is disposed along the vehicle front-rear direction on the vehicle-width-direction outer side relative to the side sill. An exhaust system member is located at a going-around portion, with respect to the rear pillar, from the front side to the rear side and from the outer side to the inner side in the vehicle width direction. The rear pillar has a cross section orthogonal to the vehicle up-down direction having a shape in which a portion between front and rear ends is located on the vehicle-width-direction outer side relative to these front and rear ends.
Exhaust structure for saddle riding vehicle
An exhaust structure for a saddle riding vehicle includes: an exhaust pipe connected to an internal combustion engine; and a catalyst disposed in the exhaust pipe; the exhaust pipe including a catalyst case unit housing the catalyst and upstream side exhaust pipes disposed on an upstream side of the catalyst case unit; the catalyst case unit having a larger diameter than the upstream side exhaust pipes; the upstream side exhaust pipes being connected to the catalyst case unit in a connecting portion located on an upstream side of the catalyst in a flow of exhaust; in the connecting portion, axes of the upstream side exhaust pipes and an axis of the catalyst case unit being in substantially right-angled positional relation to each other.
EXHAUST ASSEMBLY FOR A UTILITY VEHICLE
A utility vehicle includes an exhaust assembly fluidly coupled to an engine. Depending on various parameters, such as the size and/or performance of the vehicle, the exhaust assembly is required to meet certain emissions regulations. Such emissions regulations may be met by increasing the temperature within the exhaust assembly, however, at particularly high temperatures, a catalyst of the exhaust assembly may be damaged. Therefore, the exhaust assembly includes various options for cooling portions thereof to remove heat from the assembly.
Side vehicle body structure of vehicle
A vehicle body side structure is provided where an exhaust apparatus is located on the vehicle-width-direction outer side relative to a side sill without widening the vehicle. Embodiments include an internal combustion engine equipped on the front side of a partition wall defining a front edge of a vehicle cabin space, an exhaust apparatus through which exhaust gas exhausted from the internal combustion engine passes, and a side sill extending along the vehicle front-rear direction on the side of a floor forming a floor surface of the vehicle cabin space. The side sill has a recess having a cross section recessed toward the vehicle-width-direction inner side from the vehicle-width-direction outer side in a cross-sectional view orthogonal to the vehicle front-rear direction and extending in the vehicle front-rear direction, and an exhaust system member provided in the exhaust apparatus is disposed at the recess.
EXHAUST STRUCTURE
The utility model provides an exhaust structure having a lightweight structure. The utility model provides an exhaust structure, comprising: an exhaust pipe; and a muffler connected to the exhaust pipe. The exhaust pipe includes an upstream side opening portion, a downstream side opening portion, and a winding portion. The winding portion is formed by winding pipings between the upstream side opening portion and the downstream side opening portion. The muffler is connected to the upstream side opening portion of the exhaust pipe, and the winding portion overlaps the muffler in a front-rear direction.
WORK MACHINE WITH DIRECTIONAL AIR INTAKE ASSEMBLY
A work machine, such as a skid steer loader or a compact track loader, includes a directional air intake assembly with a directional cap positioned on an intake pipe for selectively drawing ambient air into an internal combustion engine. A cooling vent ejects air heated by a rear-mounted engine upwardly into the atmosphere. Extending higher than and adjacent to the cooling vent, the directional cap has an elongated head that blocks ingress to the intake pipe other than through an opening at a face of the cap. Selectively positioning and angling the opening between a side of the loader and an edge of the cooling vent avoids taking in debris from near the wheels or tracks, avoids taking in heated air from the cooling vent, and takes advantage of negative pressure caused by the updraft from the cooling vent to remove particulates, resulting in cleaner air for the engine at close to ambient temperature.
Exhaust structure for vehicle-mounted engine
This exhaust structure for a vehicle-mounted engine has an air intake channel 3 disposed on one side of an engine main body and an exhaust channel disposed on the other side thereof, the exhaust structure for the vehicle-mounted engine comprising: a turbine of a turbocharger disposed on the other side of the engine main body and connected to the exhaust channel; a first exhaust gas purification device connected to the exhaust channel downstream of the turbine; and a second exhaust gas purification device connected to the exhaust channel 4 downstream of the first exhaust gas purification device. The first exhaust gas purification device is disposed so as to be near the rear of the turbocharger, and the second exhaust gas purification device is disposed so as to be near a cylinder hock on the other side of the engine main body.
TRACTOR
A tractor includes: a vehicle body; an engine disposed in an engine compartment; a radiator that is disposed, in the engine compartment, further toward a vehicle-body front side than the engine and cools the engine; an exhaust-gas cleaning device that purifies exhaust gas exhausted from the engine using a reducing agent; a reducing-agent tank that stores the reducing agent supplied to the exhaust-gas cleaning device; and a battery, the reducing-agent tank being disposed, in the engine compartment, side-by-side with the battery and further toward the vehicle-body front side than the radiator.
Straddled vehicle
A straddled vehicle having an engine unit supported by a vehicle body frame. The engine unit includes an engine body, a turbocharger, and an exhaust device. The exhaust device includes an exhaust pipe and a muffler that are connected to each other to form a portion of an exhaust passage, to allow the exhaust gas passed through the turbocharger to pass therethrough, and a first catalyst and a second catalyst that are arranged in this order along a direction in which the exhaust gas flows through the exhaust pipe. The exhaust pipe has an upstream end thereof connected to the turbocharger, a downstream end thereof connected to the muffler, and a corner section that is bent in at least a part thereof between a downstream end of the first catalyst and an upstream end of the second catalyst, the catalysts not being arranged in the corner section.
