Emissions control device comprising a threaded disassembling element
The invention relates to an emissions control device for a combustion engine aftertreatment arrangement, the emissions control device comprising: a housing configured for accommodating an emissions control substrate; and at least one first opening in the housing, which at least one first opening is configured for receiving a threaded assembling element, which threaded assembling element is configured for assembly of the emissions control device in a cavity of the aftertreatment arrangement. The emissions control device further comprises at least one second opening in the housing, wherein the at least one second opening is provided with a thread, configured for receiving a threaded disassembling element, which threaded disassembling element is configured for disassembly of the emissions control device from the cavity of the aftertreatment arrangement. The invention further relates to a combustion engine aftertreatment arrangement for a vehicle and a method for disassembling an emissions control device.
CONNECTION UNIT
A connection unit for connecting an electrical supply line to an exhaust gas heater of an exhaust system of an internal combustion engine includes an electrically conductive connection element. The connection element has a heater connection region in a first end region and a supply line connection region in a second end region. A carrier has a receiving opening, wherein the connection element is arranged and has a support region. A first insulating element is arranged in the opening and surrounds the support region. A second insulating element is arranged on a first end face of the carrier. The connection element is supported with respect to the first end face via the second insulating element. A third insulating element is arranged on a second end face of the carrier. The connection element is supported with respect to this second end face via the third insulating element.
EXHAUST SYSTEM
An exhaust system includes an exhaust gas-carrying pipe and a bypass to the exhaust gas-carrying pipe. The bypass has at least one inlet pipe and at least one outlet pipe. An exhaust gas sensor is arranged in the bypass between the inlet pipe and the outlet pipe in such a way that exhaust gas flowing through the bypass flows through the exhaust gas sensor. An accelerator accelerates the gas flow downstream of the exhaust gas sensor and is coupled to the outlet pipe. At least one inlet portion extends from the inlet pipe to the exhaust gas sensor, the flow cross-section of which is smaller than the flow cross-section of the inlet pipe and opens into an inlet of the exhaust gas sensor.
Probe carrier arrangement
A probe carrier arrangement, especially for an exhaust system of an internal combustion engine, includes a probe socket (14) provided at a probe carrier body (12). The probe socket (14) has at least one insert-receiving opening (24) extending in a direction of an insert-receiving opening longitudinal axis (E). A probe carrier insert (28) is arranged in the insert-receiving opening (24). The probe carrier insert (28) has at least one probe-receiving opening (36) extending in a direction of a probe-receiving opening longitudinal axis (S).
UREA SOLUTION INJECTION DEVICE INTEGRATED WITH MIXER
A urea solution injection device includes an exhaust pipe for discharging exhaust gas generated in a combustion chamber to the exterior; an injector is installed and pierces into the exhaust pipe to inject urea solution into the exhaust gas flowing in the exhaust pipe. A catalyst is disposed at a position after the injector when viewed in a flow direction of the exhaust gas and the exhaust gas is discharged to the exterior to decompose the exhaust gas mixed with the urea solution. A urea solution mixer is provided at an end of the injector and installed and pierces into the exhaust pipe. Accordingly the urea solution injected from the injector is dispersed therein. An installation unit provides for the urea solution mixer to be installed in the exhaust pipe and pierces into the exhaust pipe.
Exhaust systems and methods of assembling exhaust systems for marine propulsion devices
An exhaust system is for a marine propulsion device having an internal combustion engine. A catalyst housing has a housing inlet end that receives an exhaust gas flow from the internal combustion engine into the catalyst housing and an opposite, housing outlet end that discharges the exhaust flow out of the catalyst housing. A catalyst is disposed in the catalyst housing. The catalyst has a catalyst inlet end that receives the exhaust gas flow and an opposite, catalyst outlet end that discharges the exhaust gas flow. A catalyst mantel is on an outer periphery of the catalyst. The catalyst mantel has a mantel inlet end and an opposite, mantel outlet end. A radial flange is on at least one of the mantel outlet end and mantel inlet end. A connector mates with an inner diameter of the catalyst housing. The radially extending flange of the catalyst mantel is axially sandwiched between the connector and a radially inner shoulder of the catalyst housing.
Dual function exhaust system attachment
The dual function exhaust system attachment, which is preferably used with an all-terrain vehicle, includes a muffler, a silencing cap, and a sound-enhancing plug. In a quiet configuration, the silencing cap is mounted to conceal a primary outlet of the muffler. In a loud configuration, the sound-enhancing plug is mounted to conceal a secondary outlet of the muffler. A set of screw threads or sealing mechanism may be used to mount the silencing cap and the sound-enhancing plug. A primary perforated barrier, a solid barrier, at least one secondary perforated barrier, and a pipe section are positioned within a hollow structural body of the muffler to guide the exhaust gas flow from an inlet of the muffler to the primary outlet or the secondary outlet.
MUFFLER FOR AN EXHAUST SYSTEM
A muffler for an exhaust system includes an exhaust gas duct pipe (20) and a wall (26). The wall (26) is connected to the exhaust gas duct pipe (20) in a first connection area (24) thereof by a thread meshing.
