SYSTEM AND PROCESS FOR REPLACING A CORE OF DIESEL EMISSION CONTROL DEVICE
A system for removing an existing core from a diesel emission control device (DECD) housing and a system for installing a replacement core into the DECD housing. The system for removing the existing core comprising a core press station, a control station, and a decore shaft. The system for installing the replacement core comprising a core press station, a control station, and a recore shaft. A stuffing funnel and spacer may be used to install the replacement core. In certain embodiments, processes for removing the existing core and installing the replacement core may comprise the steps of pressing the existing core out of the DECD housing, collecting the existing core into a collection container, sealing the collection container, wrapping the replacement core with matting, lubricating the matting, and pressing together the replacement core and the existing DECD housing.
Engine device
An engine device including an exhaust gas purification device above cylinder head through a support pedestal. The support pedestal has a flat portion on which the exhaust gas purification device is mounted, and a plurality of legs which protrude downward from the flat portion and are fixed to the cylinder head. The flat portion and the leg portions are formed integrally. Portions between the legs are each formed in an arch-shape.
Exhaust gas treatment assembly unit
An exhaust gas treatment assembly unit for an exhaust system of an internal combustion engine includes a tubular outer housing (12) elongated in a direction of an outer housing longitudinal axis (L.sub.A), a tubular inner housing (14) elongated in the direction of an inner housing longitudinal axis (L.sub.I), an exhaust gas treatment unit (16) being carried in the inner housing (14), and a locking fixing device (24) detachably fixing the inner housing in the outer housing. The locking fixing device (24) includes a locking fixing element (26) held at the inner housing (14) in both axial directions with a radially outwards prestressed locking meshing area (28). In association with the locking meshing area (28), a locking receiving area (42) at the outer housing (12), interacts with the locking meshing area (28) for holding the inner housing (14) in the outer housing (12) in at least one axial direction.
Filter arrangement
A filter arrangement may include a filter element and a gasket element. The gasket element may include a substantially circular flow-through opening and a locking collar. The locking collar may be arranged along a circumference of the flow-through opening with respect to a circumferential direction. The locking collar may form a hollow cylindrical installation space. The filter element may include a filter element body and a substantially hollow-cylindrical counter locking collar. The counter locking collar may include an open axial side and a covered axial side which may be spaced apart from each other with respect to an axial axis. The covered axial side of the counter locking collar may be covered by said filter element body. The counter locking collar may be at least partially inserted into the hollow cylindrical installation space of the locking collar.
Side vehicle body structure of vehicle
An exhaust system member is provided on a vehicle-width-direction outer side relative to a vehicle body structure such as a side sill, while avoiding widening of the vehicle, enhancing shock absorption performance during a collision, and maintaining rigidity of the vehicle body. Embodiments include an engine disposed forward of a vehicle cabin, an engine exhaust system, and a hinge pillar extending vertically. The exhaust system includes a first exhaust system member beside the hinge pillar in the vehicle front-rear direction from the vehicle-width-direction outer side of the hinge pillar and extending forward of the hinge pillar, a second exhaust system member rearward of the hinge pillar, and a connection part connecting these exhaust system members. The connection part has a smaller length in the vehicle width direction than at least one of the first and second exhaust system members, and overlaps with the hinge pillar in the vehicle front-rear direction.
EXHAUST FILTER SYSTEM FOR INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINES AND METHOD OF USING SAME
A device that filters particulate matter from the exhaust stream of an engine includes a supporting structure with an elongate support, and a filter sleeve disposed within an exterior sleeve; a filter sleeve comprising a tubular shaft of filter material, the shaft having an open first end, and a closed second end; an exterior sleeve comprising a tubular shaft that defines an internal cavity that is sized and proportioned to receive the filter sleeve, the tubular shaft having an open first end, and a substantially closed second end, the substantially closed second end having a hole for filtered exhaust gases to pass through; and an attachment member that mounts the exterior sleeve to the supporting structure.

EXHAUST GAS CLEANING SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR CLEANING EXHAUST GAS AND USE OF EXHAUST GAS CLEANING SYSTEM
An exhaust gas cleaning system includes a particle filter device comprising a casing, plural hollow ceramic filter rods arranged at least partly inside a gas passage of the casing, and a gas inlet and gas outlet. The particle filter device guides exhaust gas from the gas inlet, through the gas passage and to the gas outlet. The particle filter device further comprises a perforated plate extending at least partly along the filter rods and partly blocking an exhaust gas flow path from the gas inlet to the gas passage. The perforated plate defines openings allowing exhaust gas to flow into the gas passage. The filter rods are gas permeable to allow exhaust gas to penetrate, during filtration, a respective wall of the filter rods and flow into the filter rods. A respective open upper end of the filter rods communicates with the gas outlet so exhaust gas leaves the casing.
