Airfoil having a spline fillet
An airfoil for a gas turbine engine, which has an airfoil body extending in a spanwise direction and in a chordwise direction, a platform located at an inner end and/or an outer end of the airfoil body, and a fillet at a junction between the airfoil body and the platform. The fillet has a radius distribution at a given chordwise location, the radius distribution varying from the platform to the airfoil body in the spanwise direction. The radius distribution defines a local minimum, the radius of the fillet at the given chordwise location increasing from the local minimum along the spanwise direction toward both of the airfoil and the platform. A local maximum of the radius distribution is offset from the local minimum along the spanwise direction, the radius decreasing from the local maximum along the spanwise direction toward both of the airfoil and the platform.
CONDUIT BRACKET FOR A GAS TURBINE ENGINE
An assembly is provided for a turbine engine. This turbine engine assembly includes a static structure, a conduit and a bracket. The static structure includes a port. The conduit extends longitudinally through the port. The bracket couples the conduit to the static structure. The bracket includes a first base mount, a second bade mount, a conduit mount, a first damper and a second damper. The first base mount is attached to the static structure. The second base mount is attached to the static structure. The conduit mount is mechanically coupled with the conduit. The first damper is between the first base mount and the conduit mount. The second damper is between the second base mount and the conduit mount.
Fan shroud for an electric motor assembly
An electric motor assembly includes an electric motor, a fan assembly coupled to the electric motor and configured to rotate therewith about an axis. The bower assembly also includes a shroud coupled to the electric motor and extending about the fan assembly. The shroud includes a central hub coupled to the electric motor, an inlet ring, and a plurality of arms extending between the central hub and the inlet ring. Each arm of the plurality of arms includes a curved radial portion extending from the central hub and a planar axial portion extending from the radial portion to the inlet ring.
PRESSURE RECOVERY AXIAL-COMPRESSOR BLADING
In accordance with some embodiments of the present disclosure, a pressure recovery axial compressor blade is provided. The blade may comprise a high pressure surface and a low pressure surface connected at a leading edge and a trailing edge of the blade. Both the high and low pressure surfaces extend span wise from a first end to a second end. At least one of the high and low pressure surfaces has a finite discontinuity in curvature at an intermediate position along the chord of the blade.
Turbine HGP component with stress relieving cooling circuit
A turbine hot gas path (HGP) component includes a body having an exterior surface exposed to a hot gas path, and a cooling circuit defined along an interior surface of the body and fluidly coupled to a coolant source. The cooling circuit includes a plurality of sections spaced from one another but fluidly connected. Each section includes a wall defining at least one cooling passage, and a connector wall coupling between the wall of a first section of the plurality of sections and the wall of an adjacent, second section of the plurality of sections. The wall of the first section and the wall of the adjacent, second section are spaced apart, segregating stress between the sections. The connector wall is more flexible than: the wall of the first section, the wall of the adjacent, second section, and the body, allowing stress relief between the sections.
Component with cooling passage for a turbine engine
An engine component for a turbine engine having a working airflow separated into a cooling airflow and a combustion airflow, the engine component comprising a wall defining an interior and having an outer surface over which flows the combustion airflow, the outer surface defining a first side and a second side. The engine component further comprising at least one cooling conduit provided in the interior and having conduit sidewalls and a set of cooling passages formed in the wall and fluidly coupling the at least one cooling conduit to the outer surface, at least one of the cooling passages in the set comprising a primary cooling passage portion and a secondary cooling passage portion. A diffusion slot located in the primary cooling passage portion and an impingement zone fluidly coupled to the diffusion slot.
Off-set duct heat exchanger
A heat exchanger system for a propulsion system inlet duct includes a heat exchanger assembly that is disposed within an inlet duct assembly. The heat exchanger includes a heat exchanger with a front facing area that is greater than an area of the inlet duct that is transverse to a longitudinal length of the inlet duct.
BLADE WITH ASYMMETRIC LEADING EDGE PROFILE FOR A GAS TURBINE
A gas turbine has blades. A blade may have a leading edge; a trailing edge; a pressure side and a suction side, which extend between the leading edge and the trailing edge. The blade has, along the leading edge, a leading edge profile with profile portions, each of which, along its profile portion length, transitioning, proceeding from a depression, into an elevation via a first transition portion and back into a next depression via a second transition portion. An apex of the elevation of a profile portion is arranged in an asymmetric manner in relation to the profile portion length, in such a way that the first transition portion has a first transition length and the second transition portion has a second transition length. The first transition length and the second transition length are different lengths.

Acoustic damper for gas turbine combustors with orthogonal slots
An acoustic damper includes a low porosity layer section and a housing. The low porosity layer section is formed in a liner of a gas turbine combustor and has an arrangement of elongated generally S-shaped slots formed therein. The housing has a plurality of feed apertures. The housing is coupled to the low porosity layer section thereby defining a cavity such that air outside the housing is configured to flow through the apertures and through the elongated generally S-shaped slots in the low porosity layer section, thereby transforming acoustic energy into thermal energy and aiding in providing an acoustic dampening effect for the gas turbine combustor during operation thereof.
