Multirod fluid actuator arrangement
A method for controlling a control surface multirod actuator arrangement and the arrangement including: a first and a second multirod actuator configured to move or clamp around a first set of piston rods; a third multirod actuator configured to move or clamp around a second set of piston rods; a control unit configured to control motion of the first set of piston rods in a first motion mode and to control motion of the second set of piston rods in a second motion mode. Steps are moving at least one piston rod of first set of piston rods and/or clamping in parked position at least one piston rod of the second set of piston rods.
Additively manufactured hydraulic valve components
A method of manufacturing a hydraulic valve component using additive manufacturing includes laying successive layers to form a flow aperture for a hydraulic valve component, and creating a lattice or mesh structure that at least partially defines the flow aperture of the hydraulic valve component, or a feature that forms an undercut along a direction that is parallel to a flow direction of the flow aperture, or a flow aperture having a size varying along a circumferential direction of the valve component.
A FLUID ACTUATOR ARRANGEMENT
The present invention regards an elongated fluid actuator arrangement comprising a first and second cylinder housing (3, 5) extending in a longitudinal direction (X), respective housing (3, 5) encompasses a first respective a second piston body (7, 9). The respective piston body (7, 9) divides the respective cylinder housing (3, 5) in a first and second cylinder chamber (11, 13). The arrangement (1) is adapted for connection to a valve member means (15) of a fluid supply device (17). A piston rod member (19) extending through said respective first and second piston bodies (7, 9). The first piston device (7) comprises a piston rod engagement and disengagement means (29), which is adapted to engage or disengage the first piston device (7) to/from the piston rod member (19), wherein an engagement area (A2), defined by an engagement zone between the first piston body (7) and the piston rod member (19), is larger than a cross-sectional piston area (A1) of the first piston body (7).
HYDRAULIC TURBOMACHINE
A hydraulic turbo machine has a runner that is impinged by water. A diffuser has a multiplicity of guide blades. The diffuser includes a regulating ring for rotating the guide blades. At least one hydraulic servomotor is connected to the regulating ring or to the runner blades. The servomotor has a multiple stage configuration. The housings of the stages are fixedly connected to one another and the pistons of the stages interact only in a part range of the entire adjusting range of the servomotor.
ARTIFICIAL MUSCLE STACKS COMPRISING ALTERNATINGLY OFFSET ARTIFICIAL MUSCLE LAYERS
An artificial muscle stack that includes a plurality of artificial muscle layers. Each artificial muscle layer includes one or more artificial muscles having a housing with an electrode region and an expandable fluid region, a dielectric fluid housed within the housing, and an electrode pair having a first and second electrode positioned in the electrode region. The first and second electrodes each include two or more tab portions and two or more bridge portions. The two or more bridge portions interconnects adjacent tab portions. At least one of the first and second electrode includes a central opening positioned between the tab portions and encircling the expandable fluid region. The plurality of artificial muscle layers are arranged such that the expandable fluid region of the artificial muscles of each artificial muscle layer overlaps at least one tab portion of one or more artificial muscles of an adjacent artificial muscle layer.
Intermuscular ridged boards for artificial muscle devices under heavy lift conditions
An artificial muscle device includes a plurality of intermuscular boards and a plurality of artificial muscles disposed between the intermuscular boards in an alternating pattern and communicatively coupled to a controller. Each of the one or more artificial muscles includes a housing comprising an electrode region and an expandable fluid region, a dielectric fluid housed within the housing, and an electrode pair positioned in the electrode region of the housing, the electrode pair including a first electrode and a second electrode. The electrode pair is actuatable between a non-actuated state and an actuated state such that actuation from the non-actuated state to the actuated state directs the dielectric fluid into the expandable fluid region, expanding the expandable fluid region, thereby applying pressure to the intermuscular boards.
AN ACTUATOR APPARATUS COMPRISING A POSITIONING ACTUATOR
Provided is an actuator apparatus including a positioning actuator device configured to position a first carrier member of the actuator apparatus. The positioning actuator device includes a first hydraulic fluid actuator having a first clamping means and a second hydraulic fluid actuator having a second clamping means, wherein the first and second hydraulic fluid actuator are configured to alternately clamp around a guide arrangement for moving the positioning actuator device along the guide arrangement. The first carrier member is provided with a first coupling member configured to be releasable coupled to the positioning actuator device. A method of positioning a first carrier member by means of the positioning actuator device is provided.
