Flat mount brake calipers for bicycles are described herein. An example flat mount brake caliper includes a caliper body defining a first piston cylinder and a second piston cylinder. The caliper body has a flat mount surface with a first threaded bore and a second threaded bore extending into the flat mount surface. The first and second threaded bores are configured to receive threaded fasteners to couple the caliper body to a frame of the bicycle. The first and second piston cylinders are arranged such that projections of the first and second threaded bores do not intersect the first or second piston cylinders. The flat mount brake caliper also includes a brake pad and first and second pistons disposed in the respective first and second piston cylinders to move the brake pad relative to the caliper body.

A parking brake for a wheel rotor having a brake pad associated therewith includes a housing defining first and second passages. First and second pistons are provided in the respective first and second passages. Spindles extend into and are connected with each piston. A clutch unit is connected to the spindles and includes a motor. The clutch unit has a first condition allowing for rotation of the spindles in response to hydraulic pressure applied to the pistons such that the pistons are axially movable within the passages and relative to the spindles into engagement with the brake pad. The clutch unit has a second condition for rotating the spindles to drive the pistons into the brake pad and apply the parking brake.

The at least one bridge finger has a brake lining side, an outer side and a bore, that extends into the outer side. The bore has a bore axis and a bore wall. A profiling is recessed into the bore wall. A faceplate having a peg, projects into the bore and has a peg circumferential surface. A sleeve, which has a sleeve body is arranged between the bore wall and the peg circumferential surface. The sleeve has a spring arm, which is bent outwardly in the radial direction away from the sleeve body. The profiling is designed in such a way that the outwardly bent spring arm can latch into the profiling at various points of the profiling in the axial direction of the bore axis.

A movable seat is slidably disposed on the fixed seat. The movable seat has a link portion that can link the first brake lining and a drive unit that can push the second piston mechanically. The first piston and the second piston can be pushed hydraulically to drive the first brake lining and the second brake lining for braking. The drive unit pushes the second piston to drive the second brake lining, and pushes the movable seat to drive the first brake lining for braking.
