Axle-mounted brake disk for a rail vehicle

The invention relates to an axle-mounted brake disk for a rail vehicle, comprising two friction rings which are arranged in parallel and at a distance from each other and are interconnected by a plurality of ribs extending in the direction of the rotational axis of the friction rings, where at least some of the ribs are embodied with different cross-sections from each other, where the cross-sections of a first subset of the ribs, embodied as supporting elements transmitting pressure forces, do not fall below a minimum cross-section, defined by the stability required in relation to the mechanical load during a brake process, and the cross-section of a second subset of the ribs, used to radiate thermal energy, falls below the minimum cross-section.

Brake pad for a disk brake

A brake pad for a disk brake of a vehicle, in particular a rail vehicle, includes a backing plate, to which a plurality of friction units is fastened, each using a securing element supported on the rear side of the backing plate facing away from the friction unit, wherein each friction unit has, on the side of the backing plate facing away from the securing element, a friction element, which is mounted for tilting by means of a spherical-portion-shaped attachment and under the load of a spring supported on the backing plate, is designed in such a way that an annular disk is arranged between the spring and the friction element, at least some regions of said disk lying against the spring and the friction element.

Slack adjuster for a brake system

A slack adjuster for use with a braking system which has an increased let-out length that enables the use of brake shoes having an increased thickness. The slack adjuster includes a dual spring and canister assembly, an external yoke trigger, or a combination of both the dual spring and canister assembly and the external yoke trigger. A method of retrofitting a truck-mounted brake system is provided, in which the slack adjuster is positioned within the brake system in order to increase the let-out length while maintaining a predetermined spatial envelope within the brake system. The slack adjuster has an increased let-out length enabling the use of thicker brake shoes without requiring modification of the interacting components of the truck mounted brake system since the overall size of the slack adjuster remains the same.

Aerodynamic noise reduction member, railroad vehicle brake disk unit, railroad vehicle disk brake, railroad vehicle wheel, and railroad vehicle

An aerodynamic noise reduction member 30 includes: a plate-like support portion 32 sandwiched between a plurality of fins 24 and 26 of a brake disk 20 and a rotating member 102 of a railroad vehicle; and a plurality of protruding portions 34 protruding from the support portion 32. Each of the plurality of protruding portions 34 is provided in such a manner that, in a state in which the support portion 32 is sandwiched between the plurality of fins 24 and 26 and the rotating member 102, each of the protruding portions 34 partially occludes between the fastening fin 24 and the anchoring fin 26 adjacent to each other in a circumferential direction of the brake disk 20.

A pad for disc brakes for railway vehicles comprising a base plate (2), a plurality of friction elements fixed to the base plate and a plurality of spacers, each of which is mounted between the base plate and a respective friction element. In each one of the spacers at least one fixing hole is obtained, which is engaged by a respective rivet suited to lock the friction element to the base plate. Each one of the spacers consists of a plurality of metal plaques, each having a fixing hole obtained in it. The metal plaques are stacked on top of one another so that the respective fixing holes coincide.

Brake disc for railway vehicle

A brake disc for a railway vehicle includes: a disc plate portion that has a sliding portion of a front face; a plurality of radial fins that are provided on the rear face of a disc plate portion, and that have a shape that extends in the radial direction of the disc plate portion; and a circumferential rib that is provided between each pair of adjacent radial fins, and that has a shape that extends in the circumferential direction of the disc plate portion. A flow path for air is formed between the pair of radial fins, and the flow path for air is narrowed by the circumferential rib. On the circumferential rib, a gradual slope for suppressing fluctuations in an airflow that passes between the pair of radial fins is provided from a base part to a top part.

BRAKE DISK UNIT FOR RAILWAY VEHICLE

A brake disk unit includes a rotating member, a brake disk, and a control member. The brake disk includes a disk main body, fins, and convex portions and/or concave portions. The control member includes a support portion and a projecting portion. At least a part of the projecting portion is arranged between fins that are adjacent in the circumferential direction of the brake disk. A gap is formed between the projecting portion and the brake disk. On the surface of the brake disk, the convex portions and/or the concave portions are provided further on the outer side in the radial direction of the brake disk than a minimum opening portion of the gap.
