Tensioner
A tensioner comprising a base, a shaft press fit into the base, a pivot arm journalled to the shaft, the pivot arm having a first frustoconical portion and a frustoconical bushing disposed thereon, a pulley journalled to the pivot arm, a torsion spring engaged between the base and the pivot arm for biasing the pivot arm, a seal disposed between the base and pivot arm on the shaft, the shaft comprising a second frustoconical portion describing an apex angle Δ, and the torsion spring applying an axial spring force to the pivot arm such that the first frustoconical portion is in pressing engagement with the second frustoconical portion.
MECHANICAL CHAIN TENSIONER
A chain tensioner transmits power of a crankshaft provided in an engine to peripheral auxiliary devices and guides a chain belt that transfers engine oil. The chain tensioner includes a body portion that tensions the chain belt through a pivot, the upper surface of the body portion includes an oil guiding rib that collects the engine oil scattered from the chain belt to the upper part, one surface of the body portion in contact with the upper surface includes a pivot journal, and one surface of the body portion includes a first oil flow path that guides the engine oil to flow down to the pivot journal.
Pulley stopper and pulley apparatus including the same
A pulley stopper including: a clamp portion that includes a bar-shaped upper clamp and a bar-shaped lower clamp; and a pair of fasteners that are disposed at opposite ends of the clamp portion to couple the upper clamp and the lower clamp. The pair of fasteners and the clamp portion are coupled such that the upper clamp and the lower clamp are fixed side by side through the coupling of the fastener and the movement of a belt disposed between the upper clamp and the lower clamp is stopped.
Right angle mechanical actuator for tensioner
An actuator for transmitting an input force in a first direction from an input mechanism to a force in a second direction at an output mechanism. The actuator may be incorporated into a tensioner for tensioning a belt. The device includes a plurality of aligned spherical elements in a curved raceway. The input mechanism transmits force to a first of the series of spherical elements. The spherical elements are substantially incompressible so that the series of spherical elements transmits the force along the curved raceway from the input mechanism to the output mechanism.
Drive belt tensioner systems and methods
Embodiments of the present disclosure include a drive belt tensioner configured to adjust tension in a drive belt of a blower assembly for a heating, ventilation, and/or air conditioning (HVAC) system. The drive belt tensioner includes a mounting bracket configured to couple directly to a blower housing that is configured to house a blower of the blower assembly. The drive belt tensioner further includes an idler pulley configured to contact the drive belt. A position of the idler pulley is adjustable relative to the mounting bracket to enable adjustment of the tension in the drive belt.
Chain casing and chain tensioning assembly
The present invention relates to a chain casing for encasing of a chain spanning a main chain sprocket and a driven chain sprocket, such as having two free chain parts, a pulling chain part and a returning chain part, of preferably a vehicle, such as a bicycle having a frame, the chain casing having: —a main chain sprocket cover element for covering of the chain at the main chain sprocket, such as a pedal spindle chain sprocket; —a pulling chain part cover element for covering of at least a part of a pulling chain part between a main chain sprocket and the driven chain sprocket; —a returning chain part cover element for covering of at least a returning chain part between the main chain sprocket and the driven chain sprocket; —a chain tensioner cover element for covering of a chain tensioner assembly with the chain arranged therethrough. Furthermore, the present invention relates to a chain tensioner assembly, preferably fitting in the chain casing.
Tensioning of belt drives
A belt drive comprises a first pulley and at least one additional pulley and uses an elastic belt that is engagable over the pulleys. An auxiliary unit, connected to the first pulley, has a detent. A tensioning link comprises an open-ended slot for receiving in a slidable manner the detent. In an operating position of the belt drive the detent is locatable at a closed end of the open-ended slot and to obtain a belt changing position the detent is movable along the open-ended slot towards an open end of the open-ended slot. Movement of the detent along the open-ended slot requires simultaneous rotation of the auxiliary unit.
PRESS-FIT-INTERLOCKING CONNECTION AND BELT TENSIONER HAVING SUCH A CONNECTION
A press-fit-interlocking connection of an inner part to an outer part which is fastened to the inner part includes a cylindrical press joint (3) between the outer part and the inner part. The interlocking connection is formed by an axial stop having contacting stop parts (18, 19) on the inner part and on the outer part. The connection has an edge support in contact with the stop parts which contact one another, in a first main plane of curvature (E.sub.1) to which the cylinder axis of the press joint is perpendicular, with equal radii of curvature (r.sub.a1, r.sub.a2), and in a second main plane of curvature (E.sub.2) in which the cylinder axis of the press joint lies, with different radii of curvature (r.sub.a2, r.sub.i2).
TENSIONING MECHANISM FOR SEALED BLIND OPERATOR
A tensioning mechanism for a blind assembly is contemplated. The mechanism includes one or more constant force springs affixed to a frame member so as to hold a belt driver and gear assembly in sufficient tension to translate axial movements of an operator into rotational force sufficient to raise or lower the blind (i.e., sun-blocking elements).
POWER TRANSMISSION MECHANISM
A power transmission mechanism includes: a first pulley driven about a first axis; a second pulley rotatable about a second axis, separated from and parallel to the first axis; and a third pulley rotatable about a third axis parallel to the first axis and between the first axis and the second axis. The third pulley is configured such that a large-diameter pulley having a larger diameter than the first pulley and a small-diameter pulley having a smaller diameter than the second pulley are coaxially fixed to each other. A first belt is looped between the first pulley and the large-diameter pulley. A second belt is looped between the small-diameter pulley and the second pulley. The third pulley is supported such that a position is adjustable, along a first plane orthogonal to the third axis, in a direction intersecting a second plane including the first axis and the second axis.
