A steering gear housing and method of manufacturing same are provided. The steering gear housing is comprised of aluminum alloy and is at least partially anodized. The steering gear housing defines a plurality of mounting apertures. A plurality of nuts is fit into a respective one of the mounting apertures for use in mounting to a vehicle. Each of the nuts defines a plurality of splines for establishing a press-fit relationship between the mounting apertures and the nuts. The method involves casting a steering gear housing defining a plurality of mounting apertures out of aluminum alloy. Next, the casted steering gear housing is at least partially anodized. After anodization, a plurality of nuts is fit into respective ones of the mounting apertures. The nuts define splines for allowing a press-fit relationship to be established between the mounting apertures and the nuts.

DIFFERENTIAL CASE

A differential case is comprised of: an outer peripheral wall cylindrical about a first axis; a first side wall being perpendicular to the first axis and having a flange; a second side wall having an outer side surface perpendicular to the first axis and being opposed to the first side wall; and an opening opened on the outer peripheral wall so as to allow side gears to be brought in the opening, the opening being so shaped that outlines of pinion gears do not touch a periphery of an oval as an outline of the opening in a case where an axis of the pinion gears is aligned with the center of the oval.

Transmission with pretensioned transmission housing walls
11261955 · 2022-03-01 · ·

A transmission has a transmission housing. The transmission housing has a first opening formed in a first wall and a second opening formed in a second wall. The transmission includes a shaft that is mounted rotatably on the transmission housing via bearing devices arranged in the first opening and the second opening. The transmission includes respective covers, by which the first opening and the second opening are closed. In addition, the transmission includes screw elements, by which the covers are held on the transmission housing. A coupling element, to which the screw elements are screwed in order to hold the covers on the transmission housing, is provided. As a result of this, the first wall and the second wall are pretensioned in an axial direction of the shaft.

CASING

A casing includes an input-side casing part housing an input shaft and an output-side casing part housing an output shaft. In regard to a dimension in an axial direction of the output shaft, the dimension of the input-side casing part is smaller than the dimension of the output-side casing part. The output-side casing part includes an output-side bottom surface that serves as an installation surface when the casing is vertically installed; the output-side bottom surface includes mounting portions for vertical installation near four corners thereof; the input-side casing part includes an input-side back surface that serves as an installation surface when the casing is horizontally installed; the output-side casing part includes an output-side back surface that serves as an installation surface when the casing is horizontally installed; and mounting portions for horizontal installation are provided near four corners of the output-side back surface and on the input-side back surface.

Reverse gear intermediate shaft supporting structure of transmission

A supporting structure for a reverse countershaft of a transmission includes a transmission case, a partition wall and a boss, wherein the transmission case, the partition wall and the boss are formed integrally; a reverse idler gear installation space is provided between a side, close to a transmission main case, of the partition wall and the boss; and the partition wall is provided with a second reverse countershaft supporting hole and an auxiliary case countershaft supporting hole which are not concentric. In supporting structure for the reverse countershaft of the transmission, multiple ribs are used to support the boss of the reverse countershaft, the boss of the reverse intermediate shaft is cast until reaching the rear auxiliary case partition wall, and in combination with machining work, the reverse idle wheel space is milled by a disc milling cutter.

TRANSMISSION INCLUDING A TRANSMISSION HOUSING

In a transmission having a transmission housing, e.g., a transmission housing part, the transmission housing has a support structure that includes webs, and the transmission housing has connection surfaces which are connected to webs of the support structure. The support structure together with the connection surfaces is produced in an additive manner, e.g., by 3D printing, the connection surfaces with the webs, for example, forming an oil-tight housing part.

PINION OF A TURBINE ENGINE SHAFT HAVING A WEB COMPRISING A CROSS-LINKED STRUCTURE

The present invention relates to a pinion for a gear train of an aircraft turbine engine, the pinion comprising: —a cylindrical body (2) extending along an axis and configured to engage with a shaft received in the cylindrical body, —a rim (4) concentric with the cylindrical body, —a web (3) defined axially by a front wall (32) and a rear wall (33) and extending radially from the cylindrical body to the rim, each of the front and rear walls having a density, the pinion comprising a cross-linked structure (5) around the cylindrical body between the front wall and the rear wall, the cross-linked structure comprising a unit cell repeated along three axes of a three-dimensional coordinate system, a density of the unit cell being strictly less than each of the densities of the front and rear walls.
