Continuously variable transmission
A continuously variable transmission for a vehicle includes a drive clutch, a driven clutch operably coupled to the drive clutch, and a belt extending between the drive and driven clutches. The continuously variable transmission also includes an inner cover and an outer cover removably coupled to the inner cover. At least one of the inner and outer covers includes an air inlet for providing cooling air to the drive and driven clutches and the belt.
A DRIVE SYSTEM FOR A SKID STEERED VEHICLE
Gearboxes for a skid steered vehicle including layouts in which all electric propulsion drive motors and electric steering motors are located on one side of the gearbox, and layouts in which the drive inputs of the electric propulsion drive motors are located face to face. Gear change units and gear packaging configurations suitable for such gearboxes.
A DRIVE SYSTEM FOR A SKID STEERED VEHICLE
A drive unit for a skid steered vehicle includes a controlled differential positioned between two shafts. The end of each shaft forms an output of the drive unit connected directly to the differential outputs via the shafts. A steer motor is in driveable communication with the differential, and an electric propulsion motor is in driveable communication with the shaft outputs. A gear reduction unit, and optional gear change unit, is positioned between the differential and the electric propulsion motor. The electric propulsion motor, the gear reduction unit and optional gear change unit are connected in a parallel connection with an output of the differential to the shaft outputs. The optional gear change unit includes an epicyclic gear reduction unit having an input and an output which provides drive input from the gear change unit to the shaft. A gear change set has a master gear that receives drive output from the electric propulsion motor, and slave gears which are driven by the master gear via one or more gear chains. A dog clutch slideably engages the input of the gear reduction unit and selectively engages with the master gear or slave gears so that the selected position of the dog clutch determines which gear is engaged.
ROTATIONAL DECOUPLING FOR ASSEMBLY AND DISASSEMBLY OF A GEARBOX-INTEGRATED MOUNTED GENERATOR ROTOR
An arrangement including a transmission and a generator is disclosed. The generator includes a generator rotor being non-rotatably connected to an output shaft of the transmission or configured to be connectable to the output shaft of the transmission. An assembly bearing that supports the generator rotor in the output shaft is also disclosed.
Modular gearbox for wind turbine
A modular gearbox assembly for a wind turbine having improved up-tower serviceability includes a low-speed gear stage module, a separate, intermediate-speed gear stage module adjacent to the low-speed gear stage module, and a separate high-speed gear stage module adjacent to the intermediate-speed gear stage module. The gearbox assembly also includes a first flange removably connecting the intermediate and high-speed gear stage modules and a second flange removably connecting the intermediate and low-speed gear stage modules. Thus, the low-speed gear stage module converts a low-speed, high torque input from a rotor shaft of the wind turbine to a high-speed, low torque output for a generator of the wind turbine via the intermediate and high-speed gear stage modules. In addition, the first and second flanges allow for easy disassembly of the gear stage modules such that the various stages can be easily repaired, replaced, and/or inspected.
TRANSMISSION WITH FALLING-OFF PREVENTION FEATURE
A speed reducer with a falling-off prevention feature according to an aspect of the disclosure includes: a speed reducer for decelerating rotation from a drive source that generates a rotational force and outputting the decelerated rotation, the speed reducer being mounted to a robot; and a coupling member for coupling the speed reducer to the robot. The coupling member maintains coupling between the speed reducer and the robot irrespective of displacement of the speed reducer relative to the robot.
MULTI-GEAR-RATIO PORTAL GEAR BOX
A portal gear box assembly effective to lift and change the gear ratio of a wheel of an off-road vehicle includes a housing, an input gear sub-assembly, an output gear sub-assembly, and an idler gear sub-assembly effective for linking the input gear to the output gear. The input gear sub-assembly includes an input gear, the output gear sub-assembly includes an output gear, and the idler gear sub-assembly includes at least one idler gear and at least one removable adaptor effective for holding the idler gear in either a first position or a second position different from the first position. The sub-assemblies may also include bearings to facilitate movement of the gears.
CONTINUOUSLY VARIARBLE TRANSMISSION
A continuously variable transmission for a vehicle includes a drive clutch, a driven clutch operably coupled to the drive clutch, and a belt extending between the drive and driven clutches. The continuously variable transmission also includes an inner cover and an outer cover removably coupled to the inner cover. At least one of the inner and outer covers includes an air inlet for providing cooling air to the drive and driven clutches and the belt.
