Method for controlling EOP of hybrid vehicle

A method for controlling an electric oil pump (EOP) of a hybrid vehicle may include determining whether or not the hybrid vehicle is in a decelerating situation in an EV mode, driving the EOP at an RPM at a point L, corresponding to a minimum RPM of the EOP to form a target line pressure of a transmission, upon determining that the hybrid vehicle is decelerating in the EV mode, determining whether or not an RPM of a turbine is equal to or greater than a predetermined reference RPM, and driving the EOP at an RPM acquired by adding a predetermined additional RPM to secure an additional flow rate of automatic transmission fluid supplied to a balance chamber of an engine clutch to the RPM at the point L, upon determining that the RPM of the turbine is equal to or greater than the predetermined reference RPM.

DRIVE UNIT

Disclosed is a drive unit (10) with a housing (12), an electric motor (14) arranged in the housing with a rotor shaft (26). At least two oil chambers (30) are arranged in the housing (12). In each case the oil chambers include an oil zone (38) and an air zone (40) with an oil capture pocket (46). The oil chambers are flow-connected to one another via an overflow channel (42). Axial end areas of the rotor shaft (26) project into the oil chambers (30), and the rotor shaft defines a connecting channel (34) which flow-connects the oil chambers (30) to one another. A transmission is coupled to one axial end area or the rotor shaft (26) and an impulse disk (32) is coupled to the opposite axial end area, where each axial end area conveys oil to the respective oil capture pocket (46).

Axle housing with at least one dam

Systems are provided for an axle housing comprising at least one dam. In one example, an axle housing, comprising a center portion including a cavity configured to house a differential assembly and at least one dam arranged in an arm portion that extends from the center portion and is configured to receive an axle shaft, wherein the at least one dam comprises a flow facilitating protrusion that extends from the dam panel in a direction away from the center portion.

Transmission lubrication system
11592102 · 2023-02-28 · ·

A transmission lubrication system for a vehicle providing a continuous return flow of a lubricant. The transmission lubrication system includes a differential housing, a transmission housing, a lubricant tank, a suction line, a lubricant pump, and an air suction pump. The transmission housing is connected to the differential housing in an air-tight manner and a lubricant through-passage is provided between the transmission housing and the differential housing. The lubricant tank is provided in the differential housing and has a lubricant suction opening in a lower region. The lubricant pump conveys lubricant from the lubricant tank through the suction line and conducts the lubricant to the lubrication points in the differential housing and transmission housing. The air suction pump pumps air from the lubricant tank into the transmission housing so that an excess air pressure is maintained in the transmission housing.

OIL SUPPLY SYSTEM WITH VACUUM PUMP FOR TRANSMISSION OF DRIVE SYSTEM

An oil supply system includes a first oil receptacle collecting oil from a transmission and a second oil receptacle collecting oil from the rest of a drive system using gravity. Oil supply pump(s) supply oil from the oil receptacle(s) to the different consumers. A vacuum pump generates a negative pressure in the first oil receptacle and in the transmission casing connected to the first oil receptacle. A gas check valve prevents gas from flowing between the oil receptacles when a pressure differential is applied to the oil receptacles by the vacuum pump. An oil check valve prevents oil from flowing between the oil receptacles when the pressure differential is applied. An oil regulating valve may control the oil flow between the first and second oil receptacles. The oil supply system provides a simpler configuration without scavenging pump(s).
