Unit-type strain wave gearing device
11566695 · 2023-01-31 · ·

A unit-type strain wave gearing device provided with a cross roller bearing that supports an internally toothed gear and an externally toothed gear in a state in which both gears can rotate relative to each other, and a meshing section of both gears is lubricated with grease. A gap by which the meshing section and the cross roller bearing raceway groove communicate is formed between the inner ring of the cross roller bearing and the external gear. Due to the pump effect caused by deflection of the external gear, grease is pushed from the meshing section to the gap. Some grease is returned to the inner space of the externally toothed gear via a grease-flowing hole that penetrates the diaphragm of the external gear. Thus, leakage of grease from an oil seal of the cross roller bearing to the unit side can be controlled.

An improved serviceability gearing element generally includes a support having a plurality of obstacles for co-operating with teeth of a neighboring gearing element. The gearing element further includes a pin, a roller mounted to move in rotation about the pin via a rotary guide, blocking bearings shaped substantially to prevent the roller from moving in translation along the pin, and one or more fasteners for fastening at least one of the blocking bearings to the support.

Method of raising or lowering a landing gear

A torque load binder for changing tension in a chain or strap securing a load to a vehicle or support surface. The load binder includes a housing with an internal gear mechanism and a connector mechanism operatively engaged with the gear mechanism and extending outwardly from the housing. A high speed first driveshaft and a lower speed second driveshaft on the load binder are selectively individually actuated to effect movement between first and second end linkages of the connector mechanism. The first driveshaft effects movement between the first and second end linkages at a first speed and the second driveshaft effects movement between the end linkages at a lower second speed. Rotation of either of the first or second driveshafts actuates the connector mechanism, changing the distance between the first and second end linkages, and thereby changing the tension in the tie-down.

Lubrication of screw actuators

A screw actuator comprises a nut having an internal helical formation and a screw having an external helical formation and rotatably received within the nut, relative rotational movement of the nut and screw causing axial movement of one of the nut and screw relative to the other of the nut and screw. The actuator further comprises a lubricant reservoir and a lubricant pressuriser for pressurising lubricant within the lubricant reservoir. A lubricant receiving chamber is formed in the nut. The screw extends through the lubricant receiving chamber. A lubricant supply passage fluidly connects the lubricant reservoir and the lubricant receiving chamber. A valve controls the flow of lubricant between the lubricant reservoir and the lubricant receiving chamber. A lubricant supply piston is received in the lubricant receiving chamber and is mounted on the external helical formation of the screw.
