BOSS THERMAL SEAL
Systems and methods for thermal seals are described herein. A thermal seal may comprise a first metallic plate having a first inner surface and a first outer surface, a second metallic plate having a second inner surface and a second outer surface, the second metallic plate being oriented substantially parallel to the first metallic plate such that the first inner surface and the second inner surface are separated by a gap, and a thermal wool having a plate portion in contact with the first inner surface and the second inner surface, the plate portion filling a void between the first inner surface and the second inner surface, and having a shoulder portion extending from a perimeter of the plate portion, the shoulder portion extending outward from between the first metallic plate and the second metallic plate.
Flange joint assembly for flammable liquid
A flanged fitting includes an annular fitting flange having an annular end face. A glass liner lines a radially inner annular portion of the annular end face of the annular fitting flange. A radially outer annular portion of the annular end face of the annular fitting flange is free from the glass liner. The radially inner annular portion and the radially outer annular portion of the annular end face of the annular fitting flange define an annular gasket abutment face configured to seat a gasket thereon. An annular gasket includes an annular gasket layer. The annular gasket layer includes a radially inner annular gasket segment including a first material suitable for forming a liquid-tight seal with an opposing flange. A radially outer annular gasket segment surrounds the radially inner annular gasket segment. The radially outer annular gasket segment is fire-rated for forming a fire-rated seal with the opposing flange.
Gasket with electrical isolating coatings
An electrically isolating gasket is disclosed wherein a coating layer is disposed on at least one conductive surface, and in some embodiments, on all surfaces or at least all of the conductive surfaces. The electrically isolating gasket includes a core gasket component, a ring seal component, and a non-conductive inner seal component. The coating layer can be, for example, polyimide, polyamide, ceramic, and aluminum oxide.
Gasket
A gasket having concentric or spiral serrations around the aperture on each side of the gasket, and wherein a facing is secured to such serrations, wherein each facing comprises a first layer which is in contact with a respective set of such serrations and a second layer which is in contact with the first layer. The first layer could be of a polyaryletherketone or polyimide, and the second layer could be of graphite or vermiculite. The serrations are designed to avoid damage to the first layer. An intact first layer can supply a property to the facing which may be absent in the second layer; for example, good dielectric properties.
CURTAIN WALL AND DRAINAGE CAVITY FOR CURTAIN WALL UNIT
An end seal member, which includes a contacting surface including a drainage cavity along the contacting surface. The end seal member also includes a seal material body including a central body protrusion projecting in a horizontal direction substantially orthogonal to the seal material body from an opposite face of the contacting surface. The end seal member also includes a first and second extending elements extending upward from the seal material body and a reinforcing metal plate within the seal material body. The contacting surface is substantially flat.
Piston ring for floating piston in a thermal energy storage system
A piston ring configured to be disposed in a floating piston for use in a vessel of a thermal energy storage system to separate a hot working fluid from a cold working fluid, wherein the piston ring comprises of a plurality of arc segments, each arc segment interconnected by a joint.
A SEALING STRIP FOR SEALING ADJACENT FILTER PLATE ASSEMBLIES OF A FILTER PRESS, SUCH AS A TOWER PRESS, A FILTER FRAME, A FILTER FRAME ASSEMBLY AND A FILTER APPARATUS
A sealing strip for sealing adjacent filter plate assemblies of a horizontal filter press. The disclosure is based on the idea of providing the sealing strip with a stiffener at a base portion of the sealing strip, positioned such that it intersects with a line running through a ridge provided on a distal portion of the sealing strip and extending along a vertical direction, perpendicular to both the length direction and the width direction of the sealing strip, as seen along the cross-sectional profile of the sealing strip. A filter frame, a filter frame assembly and a filter apparatus having such a sealing strip are also provided.
Gasket and sealing structure
An upper gasket member includes an upper base portion of an annular flat plate, an upper outer periphery portion diagonally extending to an upper side from an outer periphery edge portion of the upper base portion, and an upper outer periphery side annular portion of an annular flat plate extending in an extension direction of the upper base portion from an outer periphery edge portion of the upper outer periphery portion. Further, a lower gasket member includes a lower base portion of an annular flat plate, a lower outer periphery portion diagonally extending to a lower side from an outer periphery edge portion of the lower base portion, and a lower outer periphery side annular portion of an annular flat plate extending in an extension direction of the lower base portion from an outer periphery edge portion of the lower outer periphery portion.
Sealing arrangement and use thereof
A sealing arrangement includes: a first machine element and a second machine element, each made of an electrically-conductive material; and a seal. The first and second machine elements are sealed against one another by the seal. At least one of the machine elements is made of an electrically-conductive plastic which is at least partially covered by an electrically-insulating, injection-molded skin as a result of production. The seal has an electrically-conductive support body. The support body has at least one substantially mandrel-shaped projection comprising an electrically-conductive material which is arranged on a side of the support body facing the injection-molded skin and completely penetrates the injection-molded skin.
Gasket material
A gasket material, in which a crosslinked rubber layer compounding 30 to 200 parts by weight of titanium oxide based on 100 parts by weight of NBR or hydrogenated NBR is formed on a metal plate, improves blister resistance, and thus exhibits an excellent effect of preventing rubber peeling of the gasket in the engine and leading to an improvement of engine malfunction. Further, the use of NBR or hydrogenated NBR results in an advantage of low cost relative to that of fluororubber. Therefore, the gasket material of the present invention is effectively used as a cylinder head gasket.
