Pipe repair device
An example shut-off device includes a valve body to surround a section of a pipe and form a chamber about the section of the pipe. The example shut-off device also includes a first flange bearing on a first side of the chamber. The first flange bearing in a closed position forming a first seal between the pipe and the chamber. The example shut-off device also includes a second flange bearing on a second side of the chamber. the second flange bearing in a closed position forming a second seal between the pipe and the chamber. The example shut-off device also includes a cutting blade in the chamber. The cutting blade tightens against the pipe to cut through the pipe and at least partially seals an opening in the cut pipe. The cutting blade is configured to operate as a gate valve.
Conduit repair
Provided are articles useful for rapidly and easily stopping leaks of material contained in conduits, such as water pipes under pressure. Articles according to this disclosure include a band, a lock and a lever. The band is wrapped around the conduit or pipe, and the lever is configured to engage with an end of the band and the lock that rides on the band. Manually, pulling the remaining end of the band and then actuating the lever, or vice versa, cinches the band around the outer circumference of the conduit, effectively sealing the conduit wall and preventing the contents of the conduit from leaking into the ambient surroundings. Elements of the invention cooperate to permit easy removal of the articles for re-use.
IMPACT ABSORBER ASSEMBLY
The present disclosure relates to an apparatus that has a conduit and an impact absorber assembly. The impact absorber assembly includes a core and a frame, where the core has an aperture configured to receive the conduit and the frame includes a cavity sized and shaped to receive the core. The frame also has a first side wall and a second side wall that are spaced apart to define, at least in part, a cavity. The first and second side walls also include an intermediate portion that includes a waveform shape. The waveform shape includes at least a pair of ridges and a trough between the ridges.
REPAIR JOINT DEVICE AND METHOD OF ASSEMBLING THE SAME
A repair joint device capable of joining by welding divided housings and of facilitating the welding operation; and includes a plurality of circumferentially divided housings, wherein each divided housing has a divided sleeve, a pair of end plates provided on both end portions of the divided sleeve, and a seal accommodation projection provided on each end plate. A projection-free area is formed between the seal accommodation projections. An auxiliary projection device is provided on the projection-free area.
TOOLLESS SADDLE
A saddle for a pipe, including a band adapted to wrap around a portion of the pipe to selectively block a leak or connect a service line. A securement device includes a handle pivotably connected to one of the band opposite sides, a puller pivotably connected to the other of the band opposite sides, and a pivotable connection between the handle and the puller. The pivotable connection pulls the band opposite sides toward one another when the handle is pivoted against the band.
Vehicle mounted blowout preventor equipment
A leak containment system for sealing around a fluid flow member includes a ram sealing system mounted on a mobile vehicle. The ram sealing system has a sealing chamber having a generally cylindrical shape when the ram sealing system is in a closed position, and a ram assembly located at an end of the sealing chamber. The ram assembly has a pair of rams, each ram having an engaging surface, the engaging surface sized and shaped to seal around the fluid flow member. The ram assembly also has an actuating arm assembly connected to one of the rams and a ram body. The pair of rams is rotationally attached to the ram body.
Composite conical sleeve
A device for repairing pipelines comprises a sleeve adhered to a pipeline, said sleeve being made of a cured composite material in the form of a truncated cone with a cylindrical passage passing along an axis, the diameter of the passage being equal to the outer diameter of the pipeline being repaired, and a side wall, the inner surface of the side wall corresponding to the outer surface of the sleeve, wherein the side wall is made of a cured composite material. The invention provides improvement of performance reliability of the repaired pipeline.
