One or more indicators provide an indication of fueling status of a hydrogen powered vehicle. One or more sensors detect temperature and/or other characteristics of the fuel provided to the vehicle and provide an electrical signal to one or more of the indicators to permit an indication of fueling status. The indicators, which may be visual and/or audible, may be positioned on the fueling apparatus and on the vehicle in the vicinity of a fueling receptacle. The indicators may also be positioned elsewhere on the vehicle and may be separate from the vehicle such as on or around a fueling station and/or on separate computerized devices.

LH2 offloading with auto-purge and pre-cooling
11598485 · 2023-03-07 · ·

A computer-controlled method of automatically purging and precooling a hydrogen fuel line prior to transferring hydrogen fuel from a source to a storage tank includes purging moisture from a hydrogen fuel line. The hydrogen fuel line is configured to fluidically couple a hydrogen tanker storage tank and a fueling station storage tank, the hydrogen storage tanker storage tank and the fueling station storage tank configured to store liquid hydrogen. The method also includes pre-cooling the hydrogen fuel line, causing hydrogen fuel to flow through the hydrogen fuel line to re-fill the fueling station storage tank, and expelling residual hydrogen fuel from the hydrogen fuel line when the fueling station storage tank re-filling is complete.

Gas filling method and station

A method for filling at least one buffer container of a hydrogen filling station, the station comprising a fluid circuit linked to said at least one buffer container, the circuit of the filling station comprising a first end linked to at least one source of hydrogen gas, the circuit comprising a second end provided with a transfer conduit intended to be removably connected to a tank, the method being characterized in that it comprises a step of determining the current concentration of at least one impurity in the hydrogen in the buffer container during the filling of same, a step of comparing said current concentration of the impurity relative to a predefined threshold concentration and, when the current concentration of the at least one impurity reaches said threshold concentration, stopping the filling of said buffer container.

Fluid charging system, nozzle device, and receptacle device

A nozzle device includes: a charging nozzle configured to supply a charging fluid and provided to be connected to a receptacle provided in a subject; a cover member to surround the charging nozzle and the receptacle; and a fluid supply unit to supply an interior of the cover member with an anti-freezing fluid for inhibiting freezing between the charging nozzle and the receptacle, thereby obtaining an advantageous effect of preventing freezing of the receptacle and improving safety and reliability. In addition, the nozzle device may include a hydrophobic coating layer for inhibiting freezing.

Automatic detection of moisture in compressed gas cylinder

An automatic system and method to detect moisture in a compressed gas cylinder is faster, less labor intensive and has increased accuracy, including the ability to detect free moisture, over prior methods and devices. This device and method avoid the need to individually invert cylinders. A system to detect moisture level in a compressed gas cylinder includes a gas vent/fill line that is in fluid communication with a compressed gas cylinder; a vacuum system with a vacuum line and a vacuum pump connected to the vacuum line; and a dewpoint monitor connected to a dewpoint line and the vacuum line. When a compressed gas cylinder is connected to the gas vent/fill line, the vacuum pump draws gas from the gas vent/fill line into the vacuum line and the dewpoint line, and into the dewpoint monitor, where the dewpoint monitor measures moisture content in compressed gas.

System and method for generating and storing methane gas using renewable sources

Systems and methods provide a self-contained sealed apparatus that captures, filters, compresses and stores methane gas produced by the decomposition of bio-degradable organic materials. The system includes a rotatable and sealable chamber with an intermittent drive unit that mixes moist bio-degradable material during an anaerobic reaction, and captures methane gas generated by anaerobic decomposition. A filter to remove impurities, a low-pressure storage tank, a compressor and a high-pressure storage tank are interconnected and controlled by a system that monitors system parameters, that may include gas flow rate, temperature, and gas volume, and controls system parameters, that may include drive unit activation, generator operation, and compressor operation.
