FIRE PIT
20230221000 · 2023-07-13 ·

A fire pit has a tub with a hollow interior chamber for receiving ash-producing combustibles. The chamber has a perforated bottom portion. A support is adapted to attach to the tub and be removable therefrom without the use of tools. The support has an ash-collecting compartment disposed directly below the perforated bottom portion when the support is attached to the tub. The support is adapted to support the tub when attached thereto, and to receive hot ashes into the compartment which fall through the perforated bottom portion during combustion of the combustibles, so that the ashes can collect and cool within the compartment and then be transported with the removed support for remote disposal.

Disclosed is an ash clean out mechanism including a burn pot removable from the remainder of the appliance to allow easier cleaning of the auger or other functional components within the appliance. The burn pot can include a handle that a user can pull to remove the burn pot from an adapter collar located within the interior of the appliance. The user can then clean the interior of the appliance and thereafter insert the burn pot into the appliance. For example, the user can push the burn pot by guiding a lower plate of the burn pot along a lip of the appliance and into a landing area where a body of the burn pot can rest on the adapter collar. The burn pot can also form a flow channel around the burn pot body to provide improved airflow during the cooking process.

FIRE PIT WITH REMOVABLE ASH CATCH

A fire pit includes a wall panel that cooperates to define a lateral boundary of a burn chamber. The sidewall also defines an upwardly facing opening into the burn chamber. An ash catch is removably received in the fire pit through the upwardly facing opening and may be moved downwardly through the burn chamber to a resting location where the ash catch defines a lower boundary of the burn chamber. The wall panel has an exterior wall segment spaced apart from an interior wall segment to define a passageway there between. The wall panel has a lower opening through which air may flow up into the passageway. The interior wall segment includes a plurality of openings therein through with air may flow out of the passageway into the burn chamber to help fuel a fire in the burn chamber.

ASSEMBLABLE FIRE PIT

A fire pit that is constructed to be sold in a disassembled state is shown and described. In the disassembled state, the various components (as discussed herein) are in a relatively flat configuration and are configured to be assembled by the end user. In the disassembled state, the components contain relatively less void space between the components, in comparison to in the assembled state. In the disassembled state, the components may be packed into a relatively small packaging, compared to an amount of packaging that would be required to package the fire pit once it is assembled. Embodiments of the invention thus allow the packaging of a fire pit using less packaging than traditional fire pits and/or allow for a larger fire pit to be packaged in a similar amount of packaging.

ASH MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

Disclosed is an ash or debris management system for an appliance such as a charcoal grill. The system includes a sifter tray with openings that can be exposed by manually or automatically oscillating the sifter tray back and forth. The sifter tray can include ridges with angled faces that push the debris toward the sifter openings to better facilitate movement of the debris. In this manner, debris such as ash can be removed from the appliance with ease.

Modified Burn Barrel Assembly

A modified burn barrel assembly for collecting and subsequently disposing of ashes from a burn barrel includes a burn barrel that is comprised of a fire resistant material thereby facilitating the burn barrel to contain burning fuel. The burn barrel has a bottom end that is open thereby facilitating ash to fall through the bottom end. A stand is positionable on a horizontal support surface and a plurality of support brackets is strategically arranged on the stand to facilitate the burn barrel to be stood upon the plurality of support brackets. A drawer is slidably disposed in the stand and the drawer is positionable in a closed position thereby facilitating ash from the burn barrel to be collected in the drawer. The drawer is positionable in an opened position thereby facilitating the ash to be emptied from the drawer.

Non-gas fire pit

A fire an inner chamber wall circumscribing and defining an inner chamber. A plurality of primary air apertures defined through the inner chamber wall at a first, lower level and a plurality of secondary air apertures defined through the inner chamber wall at a second, upper level. A fuel grate is supported within the inner chamber at a level between the lower level and the upper level. Solid fuel supported by the fuel grate, when combusted, is provided primary combustion air from below the fuel grate by the primary air apertures and provided secondary combustion air from above the solid fuel by the secondary air apertures, the secondary combustion air promoting combustion of unburned gasified combustibles rising within the inner chamber.

Device for purifying exhaust gases from a fireplace

The present invention relates to a device for cleaning exhaust gases from a fireplace, comprising a housing which accommodates functional components of the device, an inlet portion provided to receive exhaust gases from the fireplace, an outlet portion provided to discharge exhaust gases from the device, a bypass portion which is configured to establish a direct connection between the inlet portion and the outlet portion and which can be closed by means of a first mechanical flap arrangement, and a cleaning portion which extends between the inlet portion and the outlet portion for guiding an exhaust gas flow and is provided with a plurality of functional components, wherein the functional components at least comprise an electrostatic filter unit for separating fine dust particles, a centrifugal separator unit for removing particles from the exhaust gas, and a fan unit for driving a flow of the exhaust gas through the cleaning portion.
