Roofing Grommet Forming a Seal Between a Roof-Mounted Structure and a Roof
A roof mount assembly mounts a structure to a roof haying a rafter and a substrate supported by the rafter. The roof mount assembly includes a piece of flashing positioned on the substrate. The flashing includes a first surface, a second surface opposite the first surface and an aperture extending through the flashing. A fastener extends through the flashing aperture. A bracket is connected to the flashing via the fastener, and the bracket is sized to support at least one roof mounted structure on the roof. A seal is positioned between the flashing aperture and the fastener. The seal is sized to form a water-tight seal with the aperture to inhibit flow of fluid through the aperture. The seal includes a first portion and a second portion, in which the first portion is positioned to abut the flashing first surface and the second portion is positioned to extend through the aperture.
Roof mount assembly
A mount assembly is provided for mounting a structure to a roof having a top surface. The mount includes a flashing including an aperture; a bracket including a first portion and a second portion, the first portion having an opening and a countersink extending around the opening, the second portion extending at an angle away from the flashing, the second portion including a slot configured to be coupled to the structure; a fastener extending through the aperture and through the opening of the bracket; and a seal extending around the aperture and positioned between the flashing and the first portion of the bracket, the seal engaging the countersink of the bracket and being compressed against the flashing.
Surface mount assemblies for a solar panel system
Surface mount assembly for mounting to a solar panel frame to an installation surface is disclosed. In some embodiments, a surface mount assembly includes a base and an enclosure. The base includes a lower member and an upper member. The lower member could include a brace, a center aperture extending through the lower and upper members for receiving a fastener to facilitate the mounting to a solar panel frame; the upper member could include a hub from which a plurality of arms may extend. The mount enclosure could include a chamber with a chamber aperture for receiving a fastener from the surface mount, a post support extending upward from the chamber and forming a post aperture for receiving a post, and a horizontal member with one or more sealant grooves extending horizontal outward from the chamber.
Tile replacement flashing for use with a tile hook
A tile replacement flashing is used with a tile hook. A bottom tile replacement flashing is shaped for placement on a lower portion of a location where a tile is removed from a roof. A top tile replacement flashing is shaped for placement on an upper portion of a location where the tile is removed from the roof. The top tile replacement flashing includes an elevated region at a lower portion of the top tile replacement flashing, the elevated region. The bottom tile replacement flashing is shaped so that after attachment of the bottom tile replacement flashing on the roof, the tile hook can be attached to a rafter of the roof, the attached tile hook extending over an upper portion of the bottom tile replacement flashing and having a portion that, past the upper portion of the bottom tile replacement flashing, extends upwards. The top tile replacement flashing is shaped so that after attachment of the top tile replacement flashing on the roof, at least part of the elevated region of the top tile replacement flashing extends over the bottom tile replacement flashing. A height of the elevated region is sufficient to allow room for the tile hook to extend over the bottom tile replacement flashing and under the elevated region of top tile replacement flashing.
Flashing and Bracket Mount Assembly for Securing Solar Panel Rail Guides on Shingle Roofs
In various representative aspects, an assembly for securing a solar panel rail and rail-less support structures to a shingle roof. More specifically, the apparatus includes a connection bracket and flashing device for use in installing solar panel rail support structures. The connection bracket is secured to the flashing device by placing it over various embodiments of a cone element that is embedded within the flashing and secured using a tightening mechanism such as a bolt, screw, or other fastener. A solar panel rail support guide can be connected to a generally U-shaped connection on the top of the bracket. The apparatus also offers an improved means to cover the penetration point on the flashing to protect it and prevent water from leaking into the roof as well as an improved way to install the apparatus over existing products. Various embodiments of the bracket and flashing provided as well.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR SOLAR PANEL MOUNTING
Systems and methods for mounting solar panels include a curb assembly coupled to a top surface of a roof. An end of a solar panel rests on a portion of the assembly. An astragal is located with a portion of the astragal extending over the edge of the solar panel. A fastener is engaged through the astragal and the curb assembly such that a portion of the astragal contacts and compressively engages the top surface of the supported solar panel edge, whereby the solar panel is mounted to the roof. Moreover, systems and methods cleaning solar panels of a solar panel system installed on an exterior surface are also described.
Flashing and L-bracket assembly for rack mounting of solar panels on roof
The invention herein disclosed and claimed is an L-bracket and flashing assembly used to mount a rack for supporting a solar-panel array. It uses fewer sub-assemblies and is simpler and faster to install than prior art L-bracket and flashing assemblies.
ATTACHMENT BRACKET APPARATUS
A bracket includes a base configured to be mounted to a mounting surface and a flange extending from the base and positioned to bisect the base thereby forming a first side and a second side of the base. The base includes a first hole disposed along a central axis of the base and in the first side of the base, a second hole disposed along the central axis of the base and in the second side of the base, and one or more divots formed in a top side of the base and disposed on the first side of the base. Fasteners are inserted through the first hole and the second hole when the bracket is secured to a first mounting structure. Furthermore, fasteners are inserted through the first hole, the second hole, and are drilled through the one or more divots when the bracket is secured to a second mounting structure.
Trapezoidal rib mounting bracket with flexible legs
A mounting bracket (320) for trapezoidal rib profiles is disclosed. This mounting bracket (320) includes an upper section (330) and a lower section (350). A first leg (352a) in a second leg (352b) extend from a lower portion of the upper section (330) in diverging relation to one another. Each of these legs (352a, 352b) is deflectable through a certain range of motion to accommodate installation of the mounting bracket (320) on a variety of different trapezoidal rib profiles.
Single-piece hinged clamp for track mounting assemblies
