ICE MAKER
A batch ice maker can execute a pulsed fill routine in which a control system pulses water from a water supply into the sump until the sump reaches a predefined freeze routine starting level. Pulsing may begin after continuously filling the sump to a fill-approach level. A batch ice maker can execute a differential freeze routine in which the control system circulates water from a sump to an ice formation device until water level decreases by a predefined differential amount from a high control water level based on the water level in the sump at a point in time after the sump was filled to a freeze routine starting level. The high control water level can be set based on water level in the sump when sump water temperature reaches a predefined pre-chill temperature. The predefined pre-chill temperature can be associated with a switchover from sensible cooling to latent cooling.
Cooling member for a mobile ice rink
A cooling member for a mobile ice rink includes a plurality of pipes for transporting a coolant, wherein the pipes comprise at least two sections coupled by a connector. Cooling elements are provided at the locations of the connectors.
ICE MAKING SYSTEM AND REFRIGERATION APPARATUS
The present application relates to the field of ice making, and provides an ice making system and a refrigeration apparatus. The ice making system includes an ice making assembly, a water collecting tank located below the ice making assembly, and a water diversion ice rake structure. The water diversion ice rake structure includes: a pair of water receiving lateral wings, each of which is constructed with a rotary end and a free end; the pair of water receiving lateral wings are rotatably disposed on opposite sides of the ice making assembly through the respective rotary ends to rotate between an ice making position and an ice falling position. At the ice making position, the free ends of the pair of water receiving lateral wings are butted in a space between the ice making assembly and the water collecting tank to form a closure space with an opening facing the ice making assembly, and a water outlet communicating with the water collecting tank is constructed on one side of the closure space. The present application may solve the problems of condensed water dripping out and water splashing outward during ice making.
Ice maker comprising specific cooling of a storage container and household cooling appliance
An ice maker for mounting into a household cooling appliance, the ice maker includes an ice producer for producing ice; a storage container for storing ice; a driving unit for driving the storage container, the driving unit having a drive housing; and an air duct formed in the drive housing. The air duct has an air duct outlet configured in a front wall of the drive housing which faces towards the storage container and an air duct inlet provided in a side wall of the drive housing which faces towards the ice producer. A fan is arranged in the air duct. The fan generates an air stream from the ice producer to the storage container through the air duct.
ICE MAKER WITH CAPACITIVE WATER LEVEL SENSING
An ice maker comprising a refrigeration system, a water system, and a control system. The control system includes a controller comprising a processor and a water level sensor. The water level sensor is adapted to externally sense a capacitance corresponding to a sump water level. The controller is adapted to control the operation of the refrigeration system and the operation of the water system based upon the sump water level and to detect one or more failure modes of the water system based upon the sump water level.
Ice maker with pulsed fill routine
ICE MAKING ASSEMBLY WITH TWIST ICE TRAY AND DIRECTIONAL COOLING
An ice piece making assembly and a refrigeration appliance containing the ice piece making assembly is disclosed. The ice making assembly produces ice pieces by directional freezing and includes: an ice piece forming tray having a motor engaging end, a distal end, a first side, a second side and a bottom surface, a plurality of ice piece making compartments divided by divider walls, and a plurality of heat sinks engaged to the bottom surface of the ice making compartments and deliver defrost water to a drain or defrost water catch tray positioned at at least one of the distal end and the motor engaging end; and an ice piece forming tray canopy spaced a distance above the ice piece forming tray wherein the ice piece forming tray canopy comprises a heater and a temperature sensor.
REFRIGERATOR WITH DISPENSER
A refrigerator contains a dispenser for ice and/or liquid. A dispenser housing covers an opening in an outer shell of the refrigerator. The dispenser housing delimits a dispenser recess that extends outward and upward over an upper edge of the opening and is assembled from at least one main part, which extends from a lower edge of the opening over a rear wall to a front edge of a ceiling of the dispenser housing, and a filling part, which extends from the front edge to an upper edge of the opening.
ICE MAKER
An ice maker control system includes a low side pressure transducer on a suction line and a high side pressure transducer on a discharge line. The ice maker's refrigeration system is hermetically sealed and devoid of pressure taps for servicing gauges. The ice maker can display an indication of real-time suction or discharge pressure. The ice maker can store records of suction and discharge pressure over time and display time series data for suction and discharge pressure on the display. The ice maker can cycle the condenser fan based on the discharge pressure. An additional high pressure switch can shut off the compressor independently of the controller or transducers. During a pulldown routine, the ice maker refrains from delivering water to the ice formation device until the suction pressure is below a threshold.
