METHOD FOR IN-LINE MEASUREMENT OF THE TEMPERATURE OF PRODUCTS TRAVELLING ON A CONVEYOR IN A FOOD PROCESSING OPERATION
Method for determining the temperature of products transported on the conveyor belt of a cryogenic tunnel, comprising the following steps: —continuously measuring the surface temperature of products travelling on the conveyor belt; —measuring the thickness of a product at the point where the temperature measurement is taken; —performing the following evaluation: a. when the thickness of the product is within a certain range, then the temperature measured for said product is considered to be a reliable value; b. when the thickness of the product is outside the range, then the last temperature value of the measured product is considered to be a reliable value according to paragraph a) above; c. after a determined period of time during which the measured thickness is outside the range, it is concluded that there are no products on the conveyor belt and the temperature measurements are no longer taken into account.
Thermally insulated packaging for shipping liquid in bottles
A thermally insulated structure for shipping goods, the structure including an insulated box having a goods receptacle and a phase change material module receptacle. The structure further including a phase change material module, and a set of vacuum panels configured to form an encapsulating layer around the insulated box.
Refrigerator and method for controlling refrigerator with improved cooling management
A refrigerator can include a storage compartment having a storage space and an opening; at least one door coupled to the storage compartment to open and close a part of the storage compartment; a compressor configured to provide the storage compartment with freezing capacity or cooling capacity; a processor configured to control driving of the compressor; and a memory operably connected to the processor and configured to store code to cause the processor to in response to recognizing placement of an item in the storage space, determine whether the item is an overload item to generate a determination result; and control the driving of the compressor to adjust a temperature of the storage space based on the determination result.
BEVERAGE COOLER
Beverage coolers for storing and cooling bottled beverages. A beverage cooler may include a cooling chamber cooled by a refrigeration system, and openings in the cooling chamber for receiving bottled beverages to be chilled. The openings may have doors and/or seals to minimize heat exchange between the cooling chamber and the environment with or without bottles disposed in the openings. Each of the openings may have a visual indicator, such as a plurality of LEDs, configured to indicate the temperature of the bottle disposed in the opening.
Portable thermal insulated apparatus
A portable thermal insulated apparatus for cooling or heating items stored therein. The thermal insulated apparatus includes a container having a lid that removably secures to an open first end thereof and a reservoir unit that removably secures to an open second end. The container includes an inner tube and an outer tube forming an insulated double-wall sealed at both ends in which the lid and reservoir unit can be connected thereto. The reservoir unit removably receives a thermal unit that provides cooling or heating to the contents of the container when affixed thereto. The thermal unit is separable from the reservoir unit, such that the thermal units are interchangeable as needed. In some embodiments, the thermal unit is directly securable to the lid and the second end of the container is permanently sealed.
CONTROL SCHEME FOR BEVERAGE COOLERS OPTIMIZED FOR BEVERAGE QUALITY AND FAST PULLDOWN TIME
Systems and methods for an actively cooled container comprising: a power subsystem; an active cooling subsystem; and a control subsystem are provided. In some embodiments, the control subsystem is configured to: determine that additional cooling is needed; cause the active cooling subsystem to cool the actively cooled container below a lower limit; determine to end the additional cooling; and cause the active cooling subsystem to cool the actively cooled container at or above the lower limit. In this way, the best balance between a fast cooldown time and not damaging (e.g., through freezing) the product load (e.g., beverages), is achieved.
Temperature-context-aware refrigerator and method for controlling same
A temperature-context-aware refrigerator according to an embodiment comprises: a temperature context awareness unit for sensing a temperature of at least one storage compartment, and when the difference between the sensed temperature and a temperature set for the corresponding storage compartment is equal to or greater than a predetermined level, generating load-responsive operation information including a target temperature lower or higher than the set temperature; a temperature control unit for controlling a temperature sensor and the temperature context awareness unit, and performing a load-responsive operation for controlling the temperature of the storage compartment by using the load-responsive operation information; and a database unit which used by the temperature context awareness unit to generate the load-responsive operation information.
Multi-zone cooling of plasma heated window
A substrate processing system includes a multi-zone cooling apparatus to provide cooling for all or substantially all of a window in a substrate processing chamber. In one aspect, the apparatus includes one or more plenums to cover all or substantially all of a window in a substrate processing chamber, including under an energy source for transformer coupled plasma in the substrate processing chamber. One or more air amplifiers and accompanying conduits provide air to the one or more plenums to provide air flow to the window. The conduits are connected to plenum inlets at various distances from the center, to direct airflow throughout the window and thus address center hot, middle hot, and edge hot conditions, depending on the processes being carried out in the chamber. In one aspect, the one or more plenums include a central air inlet, to direct air toward the center portion of the window, to address center hot conditions.
Temperature controlled dispense drawer
A device for dispensing items includes a cabinet, and a drawer within the cabinet. The drawer includes one or more compartments for storing items and a cooling system within the drawer. The cooling system is configured to maintain the one or more compartments in the drawer at a temperature below the temperature of the environment surrounding the cabinet. The drawer further includes thermal insulation at sides of the drawer and thermal insulation beneath the one or more compartments. The refrigeration system may be a thermoelectric cooling system.
METHOD OF COOLING A CONTAINER COMPRISING A BEVERAGE
A method is provided for cooling a beverage in a container, the container being provided in contact with a cooling contact body thermally conductively coupled to a cooling element. The method comprises operating the cooling element and obtaining an ambient temperature of the environment outside the container and the cooling contact body. Based on the ambient temperature, a cut on temperature is defined and a temperature value indicative of a temperature of the beverage is obtained. The cooling element is operated if the temperature is larger than the cut on temperature until an end criterion is met. A higher ambient temperature may require more cooling of the beverage to ensure the temperature of the beverage is maintained between acceptable boundaries. A higher environmental temperature, requiring more cooling, means faster switching on or off. By using a switch on temperature based on the ambient temperature, more efficient cooling may be established.
