Unidirectional multi-path lumber kilns
Embodiments provide a unidirectional multi-path kiln with two or more chambers and generally parallel flow paths extending through the kiln, on opposite sides, from charge entry portals at a first end of the kiln to charge exit portals at a second end of the kiln. Moist heated air flowing from the second heated chamber is received in the first chamber and circulated around the lumber charges with one or more fans. The lumber charges proceed in the same direction on the flow paths through the heated second chamber, which may be an existing kiln. Charge exit portals at the distal end of the kiln and/or intermediate charge portals between the second chamber and a third chamber may be provided with insulating members configured to reduce airflow from the second chamber through the charge exit portals.
Lumber Drying Kiln Configurations and Methods
Lumber drying kilns are provided that can include a ceiling member supported by opposing wall members and a pair of complimentary baffles extending vertically from about a junction of the wall and ceiling. Drying kilns are also provided that can include a junction between a wall and a ceiling above material to be dried within the drying kiln and at least one baffle extending vertically along the side of the material to be dried. Methods for retrofitting existing drying kilns are provided that can include extending vertical baffles from about a junction of a wall and ceiling of the drying kiln. Methods for drying material within a drying kiln are also provided that can include placing material to be dried within a drying kiln and drying the material within the kiln while a pair of vertical extending baffles hang along opposing walls of the kiln.
Device and method for reinforcing recycled aggregate based on in-situ C-S-H production
A device and method for reinforcing recycled aggregate based on in-situ C—S—H production including a first, second, third chamber, and a blast drier. A spray structure arranged on the top of the third chamber; the first and second chamber connected to the spray structure through pumps. A hollowed container arranged at the bottom of the spray structure. A certain gap reserved between the bottom of the container and the bottom of the third chamber, the bottom of the third chamber is provided with at least one drain outlet; the blast drier connected to the bottom of the third chamber, and a cover is arranged on the top of the third chamber. The first chamber contains calcium hydroxide solution. The second chamber contains a mixed solution of TEOS, water and anhydrous ethanol. The container is arranged in the third chamber, and the container is used to contain to-be-treated recycled aggregate.

HEATING ELEMENT FOR TIMBER DRYING DEVICE AND TIMBER DRYING DEVICE USING SAME
The present invention relates to a heating element for a timber drying device and a timber drying device using same, the heating element comprising: a concave and convex metal plate sandwiched between vertically laminated timbers and having ridges and valleys alternately formed thereon; heating cables generating heat as power is applied thereto; and a plurality of heat transfer pipes which are tightly coupled to the concave and convex metal plate between the ridges and valleys of the concave and convex metal plate to reinforce the strength of the concave and convex metal plate and into which the heating cables are sequentially inserted to transfer heat generated from the heating cables to the concave and convex metal plate. According to the present invention, with a very simple structure, heat can be transferred evenly throughout the timbers, the heat conduction efficiency from the heating cables to the concave and convex metal plate can be greatly improved, the lifespan of the heating element can be significantly extended, and the convenience of a timber laminating work for timber drying can be greatly improved.
Method and apparatus for food dehydration
Embodiments herein include devices adaptable to dehydrate articles, including foods. Embodiments are shown which can be compacted for reduced storage, and/or shipping requirements and/or for other purposes. Embodiments include simple, inexpensive means for controlling dehydrating conditions, including airflow. Various article holding devices, including devices to hold foods being dehydrated, are also shown. Such devices include vertical, diagonal, and horizontal panels to secure articles. Embodiments shown have variations which include the use of non-motorized convection airflow, as well as devices which incorporate motor driven air movement means. Embodiments are shown which may be used for preparing articles, including foods, for dehydration, including slicing such articles.

Multi-pass lumber kilns
Embodiments provide a multi-pass kiln with two or more chambers, an entrance and an exit at a proximal end of the kiln, and a reciprocal flow path extending through the kiln from the entrance to the exit. Lumber charges traveling along the reciprocal flow path may travel in a first direction along one side of the heated second chamber before traveling in a substantially opposite second direction along the opposite side of the second chamber. The distal end of the kiln may be substantially sealed, and a pressure differential between the distal end and the proximal end may draw moist heated air from the heated chamber toward the exit and entry to preheat and/or condition lumber charges traveling through the first chamber.
