Roasting furnace, use thereof and method for the processing of ores or concentrates
A roasting furnace for processing ores or concentrates, preferably molybdenum-containing ores or concentrates is described. The roasting furnace contains at least one first rotary lifting system for the displacement of said arm along the axis direction, wherein said first rotary lifting system is a telescopic lifting system, and/or wherein a distance x between two consecutive said stages of said roasting furnace are at least 1.000 m, wherein said distance x is measured along the axis direction. The roasting furnace of has an improved processing capacity and/or a reduction in the number of halts, and consequently is more energy-efficient, more environmentally-friendly and more economically interesting.
Molecular pyrodisaggregator
A molecular pyrodisaggregation system having a loading column for loading materials to be disaggregated into the pyrodisaggregator, a thermal propeller for generating hot fumes to circulate in the pyrodisaggregator, and a condenser connected to an exit from the pyrodisaggregator for cooling gases from the pyrodisaggregator. The pyrodisaggregator has a furnace having a furnace wall defining a chamber within the furnace, a fuser tube within the furnace chamber, a channel within the furnace chamber between the fuser tube and the furnace wall, an Archimedes screw within the fuser tube for moving material to be disaggregated through the furnace, a first exit for inert materials from the fuser tube, a second exit for gases from the fuser tube, and a third exit for fumes circulating through the channel in the furnace.
Modular furnace
An example furnace includes a plurality of furnace components that are stacked to form a plurality of furnace chambers therebetween. Each furnace component includes opposing sidewalls and a support wall that extends between the opposing sidewalls, separates adjacent ones of the plurality of furnace chambers, and defines a plurality of channels. A plurality of heating elements are situated in the channels.
Multiple hearth furnace improvements
A multiple hearth furnace in which in a gas space above at least one hearth an annular baffle is provided above the rabble arms of that hearth. The annular baffle modifies gas flow in the gas space, in particular gas residence times above the hearth. This in turn can enhance performance of the furnace, for example in respect of carbon monoxide emissions.
