HIGH-TEMPERATURE FLUID TRANSPORTING PIPELINE WITH PIPELINE CASING FORMED BY HEAT EXCHANGE APPARATUS, SUITABLE HEAT EXCHANGE APPARATUS AND HEAT EXCHANGE METHOD
The present invention discloses a high-temperature fluid transporting pipeline integrating a heat exchange apparatus, wherein heat contained in a high-temperature fluid can be recovered during the transportation thereof. The heat exchange apparatus comprises a hermetic heat exchange cavity, and a heat-receiving fluid coil installed therein. The method of heat exchange is that the high-temperature fluid heats an auxiliary fluid in the cavity via a heat exchange base plate of the heat exchange cavity in contact therewith, and the heated auxiliary fluid then conducts the heat to a heat-receiving fluid in the heat-receiving fluid coil. As an example, the high-temperature fluid is flue gas generated by combustion, an upper part of a flue gas transporting pipeline is replaced by the heat exchange apparatus of the present invention, the auxiliary fluid is an inert gas such as air, and the air heated indirectly by the high-temperature flue gas conducts heat to fuel and/or oxygen-enriched gas flowing in the heat-receiving fluid coil (as an oxidant/combustion aid).
Cooling panel for metallurgical furnace
A cooling panel for a metallurgical furnace includes a body with a front face and an opposite rear face, a top face and an opposite bottom face and two opposite side faces. The body has at least one cooling channel therein, the cooling channel having openings in the rear face; wherein, in use, the front face of the body is turned towards a furnace interior. According to the invention, the cooling panel having at least one cooling pipe arranged in at least one elongate recess formed in the front face, where the cooling pipe has an elongate middle section and at either end thereof, an angled branch, the cooling pipe forming the cooling channel, and where the cooling pipe is arranged in the elongate recess such that the angled branches protrude through the openings in the rear face of the body.

Plate cooler stave apparatus and methods for ferrous or non-ferrous metal making furnace
A plate cooler stave for use in a furnace having a shell wall, comprising: a top portion housing at least one cooling fluid inlet and at least one cooling fluid outlet for the flow of cooling fluid to and from the plate cooler stave from outside the furnace; and a main body disposed at an angle relative to the top portion so that the main body may be inserted into the furnace through an opening defined by the shell wall, wherein upon installation, at least a part of the top portion is disposed in the opening.
COOLING SYSTEM FOR A METALLURGICAL FURNACE
A cooling system for a metallurgical furnace includes a plurality of cooling arrangements having each a set of cooling elements arranged to extract heat from the furnace, the cooling elements having each at least one internal cooling channel for a coolant fluid, where the cooling elements are fluidly connected within each cooling arrangement; at least one discharge piping associated with each cooling arrangement for discharging the coolant fluid towards a main collector, where a flow regulating arrangement is serially mounted with the discharge piping and configured to control a flow rate of the coolant fluid therethrough and hence through the cooling arrangement, where the flow regulating arrangement includes a calibrated orifice defining a default, minimal flow cross section for the coolant fluid and a regulating valve selectively operable to define a variable, additional flow cross-section.
