RETURN WATERBOX FOR HEAT EXCHANGER
A return waterbox for a heat exchanger, such as a shell-and-tube heat exchanger, is provided. The return waterbox may include an insert configured to direct a fluid flow(s) in the return waterbox. In some embodiments, such as in a two-pass heat exchanger, the insert can be configured to receive water from one portion of the heat exchanger tubes in the first pass and redirect the received water to another portion of the heat exchanger tubes in the second pass.
HEAT EXCHANGER
A heat exchanger includes a core having a plurality of tubes, each tube having a tube inlet and a tube outlet, and the tube inlets define an inlet plane and the tube outlets define an outlet plane. The tubes are spaced from one another for receiving a second fluid therebetween, for heat transfer between the first and second fluids. A jacket is provided adjacent the core for use in containing the second fluid, and the jacket comprises a jacket inlet for passage of the second fluid en route to the core. The jacket extends between the inlet plane and the outlet plane, and the jacket inlet is offset from the inlet plane towards the outlet plane. The heat exchanger further comprises a deflector arrangement for directing a flow of second fluid from the jacket inlet towards the inlet plane prior to entering the core.
CONTOURED WALL HEAT EXCHANGER
A heat exchanger and heat exchanger core are provided. The heat exchanger core includes a plurality of columnar passages extending between an inlet plenum of the heat exchanger core and an outlet plenum of the heat exchanger core, the columnar passages formed monolithically in a single fabrication process.
ANGLED BAFFLES FOR A HEAT EXCHANGER
A baffle for a furnace of a heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) system includes a mounting flange configured to be secured to a housing of the furnace. The baffle also includes a first panel extending from the mounting flange into an air flow path extending through the furnace and a second panel extending from the first panel toward the housing.
Header for a heat exchanger and a heat exchanger
The disclosure relates to a header connected to or formed as a part of a heat exchanger. The heat exchanger has a heat exchanger body with a plurality of discrete channels for a first fluid and a plurality of discrete channels for a second fluid. The header has a first end having a round configuration and a second end being provided with a plurality of discrete channels. The header is provided with a plurality of dividers dividing one or more internal channels of the circular pipe into the plurality of discrete channels at the second end. At least some of the dividers extend from the second end to the first end and define a plurality of channel mouths at the first end. The disclosure also relates to a heat exchanger.
Cooling device
A cooling device includes a cooler disposed inside a shell main body formed in a cylindrical shape, and having a first surface facing an inlet nozzle and an outlet nozzle, and a partition member fixed to the first surface, and partitioning a portion between the cooler and an inner peripheral surface of the shell main body into a first space communicating with the inlet nozzle and a second space communicating with the outlet nozzle. The partition member includes a main partition plate disposed between the inlet nozzle and the outlet nozzle in an axial direction, a first guide portion extending from an end portion of the main partition plate toward a first end surface of the shell main body, and a second guide portion extending from an end portion of the main partition plate toward a second end surface of the shell main body.
HEAT EXCHANGER AND AIR-CONDITIONING APPARATUS
A heat exchanger includes heat transfer tubes disposed in an up-down direction and a distributor distributes refrigerant to the heat transfer tubes. The distributor has a main body having a first flow passage through which refrigerant flows upward, and an insertion part disposed inside the main body. When an upper one and a lower one of two among the heat transfer tubes are a first heat transfer tube and a second heat transfer tube, respectively, the insertion part is installed between the first heat transfer tube and the second heat transfer tube. The main body has a second flow passage through which refrigerant flows upward. Refrigerant having passed through the first flow passage and the second flow passage flows through the first heat transfer tube, and refrigerant having passed through the first flow passage flows through the second heat transfer tube.
DEFLECTOR FOR CONDENSER, CONDENSER HAVING IT AND CHILLER SYSTEM
A deflector for a condenser, the condenser has an inlet communicated with exhaust pipes of a compressor, and the deflector is provided at the inlet, the deflector includes: a flow guiding structure having a first tube section and a second tube section of increasing diameter, the second tube section being positioned below the first tube section and extending into the condenser when mounted in place; and a support assembly for fixing the flow guiding structure at the inlet, at least a part of the refrigerant gas flow flows through the interior of the first tube section, and at least another part of the refrigerant gas flow flows through the outer side of the first tube section.
Planar element for forming heat exchanger
Planar element adapted to form, when stacked with a plurality of other such elements, a heat exchanger, comprising an inlet region, a first zone adapted to direct flow from the inlet region towards a second zone, a second zone comprising at least one cutout in the plane of the planar element, adapted to accommodate a cooling core, a third zone, adapted to direct flow from the second zone towards an outlet region and an outlet region, the planar element comprising a first blockage protrusion disposed along a first group of said side edges, the first group comprising at least a side edge adjacent to said outlet region, and a second blockage protrusion disposed along a second group of said side edges, the second group comprising at least a side edge adjacent to said inlet region.
