A header for a high-pressure heat exchanger includes a first high-pressure transition section with inlets for multiple first high-pressure flow channels that are spaced from one another in a radial direction and collectively arranged in a substantially circular shape. The inlets for the multiple first high-pressure flow channels on a radially outer edge of the first high-pressure transition section are spaced further apart in a circumferential direction from adjacent inlets of the multiple first high-pressure flow channels than radially inward inlets are spaced from adjacent radially inward inlets of the multiple first high-pressure flow channels. The header also includes multiple first high-pressure flow channels extending from the first high-pressure transition section to a second-high pressure transition section that is configured to divide each of the multiple first high-pressure flow channels into at least two first high-pressure sub-flow channels. Each flow channel of the multiple first high-pressure flow channels and each sub-flow channel of the first high-pressure sub-flow channels have a round cross-sectional shape.
HEAT EXCHANGER
A shell and tube type heat exchanger comprising a shell and a tube arrangement within the shell. The tube arrangement comprises a flow tube. The flow tube furcates at a plurality of nodes along its length. The shell and tube type heat exchanger further comprises a tube matrix fluidly coupled to the flow tube.
Finned heat exchanger U-bends, manifolds, and distributor tubes
A heat exchanger includes a frame and a plurality of coil passes disposed within the frame. The plurality of coil passes is configured to direct a flow of a refrigerant therethrough to transfer heat with an air flow passing over the heat exchanger. The plurality of coil passes include a U-bend disposed between first and second linear portions of the plurality of coil passes to redirect the refrigerant from a first longitudinal end of the heat exchanger to a second longitudinal end of the heat exchanger. Additionally, a first plurality of fins is disposed on an outer surface the U-bend.
Heat exchanger and method for manufacturing a heat exchanger core with manifold
The invention relates to a heat exchanger comprising first fluid inlets, first fluid outlets, second fluid inlets and second fluid outlets. Each of the first fluid inlets, the first fluid outlets, the second fluid inlets and the second fluid outlets are arranged on four different sides of a heat exchanger core. A manifold covers one of the four different sides of the heat exchanger core, wherein a first sidewall of the manifold is arranged at an angle smaller than 90 degree to the one side of the heat exchanger core which is covered by the manifold. An edge of the heat exchanger core between the one side of the heat exchanger core which is covered by the manifold and a neighbouring side of the four different sides of the heat exchanger core forms a common weld line with a connecting edge of the first sidewall of the manifold. The invention also relates to a method for manufacturing a heat exchanger comprising a heat exchanger core and a manifold.
FRACTAL OPTIMIZED CORE SHAPE (ADDMFG)
A heat exchanger includes a heat exchanger core. The heat exchanger core includes a plurality of tubes. Each tube of the plurality of tubes includes a first end and a second end and extends from the first end to the second end in a lengthwise direction. Each tube of the plurality of tubes is spaced from adjacent tubes in a height-wise direction and a widthwise direction. The plurality of tubes is stacked to create a concave profile in the height-wise direction and widthwise direction. The concave profile extends in the lengthwise direction.
HEADER FOR HIGH-PRESSURE HEAT EXCHANGER
